Hello I am lvl 24Adept 1 heals for about 120 with a 5 minute recast, you can use it anytime but it has a small cast time

It's actually just like a spell, meaning it can't be used on the move and it can be interrupted.

<DIV>Isen't mend just a percentage of you maximum hit points. Before I upgraded to to adept 1, it seemed over the various test uses of it that I just healed 10% of my health or who ever i targeted with it. After I upgraded to adept 1 it seems to be between 10-13% now. Maybe we can confirm this. All those that have it at various levels, post you maximum hit points, you level, the spell level, and how much it healed for. Maybe at higher levels it heals for more but from lv 20-22 have seen consistant 10-13%.</DIV>

<DIV>Mend is good and can be used in battle, but it could surely be improved.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>You have to be still during casttime, otherwise it will be interrupted (not working like for example Wind Walk, Staggering Stance etc).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>First and foremost, a bit longer range and shorter recast would make it oh so much more useful.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Reducing casttime would make it even better! <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>Well really let's be honest. This is a low lvl skill, that is a targetable heal. It gets upgraded as we lvl later on. Did you expect it to be a CH? 13% at adept 1 is pretty good (And yes it is % based from what I have seen of it) considering there are Master 1's that will be floating around sooner or later that should bump it up to around 15%.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Give you an idea of the uses, if you are backup tank and you are assisting the Maintank by keeping him targetted, very very easy to use this spell to pump up his healing during the initial pull. Granted it is not the best spell in the world, but it has it's uses.</DIV>

OMG mend is almost worthless atm lol less for soloign i guess. Ill tell you why right now. Say ur gonna try to heal the MT with it cuase the healers are gettin too far behind, cool, too bad if ur anything but on the front of the mob (most cases) your outa range and the tank is dead bye bye. The range on mend is rediculous. Bumpin the range up just enough to reach the max distance most ppl stand at in combat would mkae this ability VERY usefull and it just might give me a use when im not tanking. O and killing the cast time would rock too! The heal power of it is really light too from waht ive seen with all the restrictions like distance and interupts it has. Neat idea poorly implemented IMHO.

<DIV>At 28, Mend Adept I heals 180 for me, which just so happens to be around the 13% figure that some others are quoting.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I have yet to hear anyone else quote 500 so I'd love to hear more about that one. Even if it did happen, I'm guessing that was the result of some serious luck and certainly not anything to consistently count on.</DIV>

<DIV>Mending for 500 hp at 13% would mean you healed a target with 3846hp. You get the 1st upgrade to mend at lvl 34 and maybe fully buffed guardians at that lvl have around that hp. Or it could be that mend is still yellow at lvl 25 and so the % that it heals will increase when it's finally a "white" or and even con spell. I personally think it's the latter. </DIV>

<DIV>I think mend is a % based heal, I think you have already figured this out. but I mend a Guardian in my guild for about 120 hps or so and when I mend myself it is for about 60. I like it so far, but I plan on making the upgrade from App3 to Adp ! - 3 soon. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>I am certain that Mend App1 = 10% heal. Do it a few times solo then do it a few times with varying degrees of buffs and it will do 10%... From there I haven't a clue. Figure it wouldn't be that hard to compile a list of heal % vs. skill level as long as it is always a set percentage and not a range.</DIV>

<DIV>Mend on EQ2 heals for a certain amount not a percentage, EQ1 Mend on monks was a percentage but self only. the amount you heal for with Mend here in EQ2 depends on what type of lvl the skills is at ie: App 3, Adept I etc etc plus your lvl also increases it as u lvl.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Aonein Amillion 26th Monk<BR>16th Outfitter<BR>Everfrost Server<BR><BR>Enlightened Aonein Amillion<BR>70th Stone Fist of The Celestial Fist<BR>Five Rings on Luclin Server<BR><BR>"We are the two halves of the Flowing Circle, the light and the dark. But "<STRONG>Mend on EQ2 heals for a certain amount not a percentage," </STRONG>is False. I say this because everyone I have used Mend on is healed for different amts of Hp's. Yes everyone I healed was a different level, had a different number of hitpoints than me and yes it was all using the Adept 1 upgrade. It all amounts to about 11-12% ish. Sorry I do not play with a Calculator next to me so I cannot get exact results. But bqasically I healed a Warlock (21) for about 63HP, Me (20 Monk) for 80 Hps and a Guardian (24) for 120 Hps. It is not a consistant amount but I do believe it is a consistant % of the Targets Hit points. <BR>
<DIV>It is <STRONG>definately </STRONG>percentage based because when in a group buffed I mend for exactly 19% of my total health with Mend Master 1. The heal for sure changes the more health you have.</DIV>

<DIV>I can heal myself, plus a warlock, plus a cleric, plus a guardian all for around 190 hp all of them, i think what alot of people havent noticed is your mend has a chance to not fully do its job, only partially working, ive healed myself for 30 hp and then the next time ive healed myself for 137 hp, but max i have healed for at lvl 26 with adept I is 190, i purposely tested it over and over for more then 6 hour period, just mending people willy nilly ( when they were hurt of course ). If u do this and not just once on each type ( class ) of person u cast it on you will notice that you will get a different set of numbers every single time but you will also see a max every now and then. So for example, u might heal a guardian for 190 hp and the next time u use it on him u might only hit him for 52 hp, i personally only use it on the tank if he gets down to like 20% and the clerics have a bad time getting back ontop of his HP, every little bit helps, but try this some time, u will see what i mean by the mend being streaky and not a constant number for any class.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Just cause you heal someone for the first time with it for 60 hp doesnt mean thats it its a percentage, could just mean it hasnt worked completely and only partially healed them.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Aonein Amillion 26th Monk<BR>16th Outfitter<BR>Everfrost Server<BR><BR>Enlightened Aonein Amillion<BR>70th Stone Fist of The Celestial Fist<BR>Five Rings on Luclin Server<BR><BR>"We are the two halves of the Flowing Circle, the light and the dark. <DIV>Maybe for adept but for Master 1 it has never healed me less than 19% of my total health...ever. Have had it for 10 levels now.</DIV>

Bruiser skill is great for self-preservation, but being able to heal your allies can come in quite handy. Both abilities are great for their respective situations.Besides, anytime a bruiser gives you flack, just tell him Tiger Form > Poopskin.

<DIV>Wow, my mend adept 1 only heal about 250-300 at 29, when ever the freakin server comes up im having an adept 3 made</DIV> <DIV>I have not noticed hardly at all a difference in the amount i heal on other peoples lvl 25ill for 220 tested 3 times that my average, compared to a 31ill healed for around 237, what i see isn the heal seems like its on a hit point heal roll, cus i see dips and peaks in the amount it heals under the same circumstance over and over. I personally with adept 1 mend have healed up too 437 hpts i beleive is a propperly buffed group I see these spikes most often..... but when i heal myself I also see these spikes so I believe that its you current lvl your heal amount ngrows between 40-65 pnts in adept 1.</DIV><p>Message Edited by ritternomore on <span class=date_text>12-17-2004</span> <span class=time_text>10:02 PM</span>
