<DIV>There was a big fuss when this was (is?) bugged, as it "effected monks, brawlers, bruisers a lot" etc. But the description doesn't seem to have anything to do with the concept of us taking heavy damage when hit, but rarely getting hit paradigm. It reads like a damage mitigation component. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Is this correct, or is this just an incorrect description. Or was it just a bug with only monk/bruiser/brawler mitigation? </DIV>
<DIV>I have no idea :</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Whatever it is, I don't notice it.</DIV>

<DIV>I am wondering if this was a mistake as well. It seems that after the last patch, my parry, block, and ripostes actually started firing. It is hard to tell if any damage has been reduced by deflection since I saw nothing in the combat chat that showed a deflection skill at work.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Before the patch I almost NEVER parried, blocked, or riposted. I remember one fight where the creatures hit me about 10x in a row and never missed, i never blocked or parried either. After the patch the log is full of defensive actions on my part. This makes me wonder:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Is deflection some sort of modifier for other defensive actions? Could it be that with higher deflection parry and block fire more often? Just a guess...</DIV>

IT seems that if Monks are supposed to be avoidance-bansed, then a skill bonus to Defense would seem more prudent than Deflection. Perhaps the skill descriptions are mixed up. If so, this should be fixed so we are not being misled. If they are as intended, then why is an avoidance tank getting a mitigation bonus(even though it's broken)? If we are SUPPOSED to get a mitigation bonus, then it would be nice to know this for sure.</P> <P>There is simply way too much speculation being allowed to go on. This stuff should be concrete.</P>
