<DIV>Have any of you noticed a big difference with the patch notes from today?  I logged on before going to work to see if there was a big difference in HP at level 20 and I didn't notice anything actually.  Didn't have time to check damage output.  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I actually find it ironic that they changed damage output last night... I spent all last night collecting log files using Makoto's Bo for parsing damage output and was going to go bare fisted tonight on the same mobs as a comparison, but now that's all honked up.  Some guy on the berserker forums wrote a VB log parser that works pretty well by the way.  There's no bells and whistles but it works.  It only shows your damage, but it breaks down melee damage, CA damage, HO damage, melee only DPS, overal DPS (melee+CA+HO), # of parries, # of ripostes.  HE's still working on it, but it gets the job done.  I had been doing it manually with Excel so this was a good find IMO.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Oh yeah and almost forgot... we get to use round shields now...  Pretty easy way of increasing monk/bruiser AC.</DIV><p>Message Edited by Cyngii on <span class=date_text>12-03-2004</span> <span class=time_text>11:13 AM</span>

<DIV>We always could use shields, but were limited to using Bucklers.  I believe the AC on round shields is a bit better.</DIV>

Ive noticed a good increase in my tanking ability ironically.... tanked today a group of 4 doing cents griffs, myself lvl 26 monk and 3 others at lvl 23

I played about 5 hours today after patch and noticed a HUGE decrease in attack damage and a huge increase in mob damage to me. In other words today was horrible. I was tanking giants (26^^-28^^) last night with some guildies all around my level (im 23). We never had a problem, and when we were doing this I was hitting around 130-150 with swooping dragon and bruising strike and about 100 with the kicks, and taking damage every so often for about 150-200.Now we group up today to do an armor quest for another person (aq5), same group and we go to Thundering Steppes again and start working on undead (mostly lev 22-23 and a few ^^) Im still tanking and I notice im getting hit for about 250-350 every time and only doin about 80-90 damage output. This amount of difference is insane. I was actually scared to go fight more giants because of this unless we got a real tank. Normally I dont scream NERF, and this may not be one but if the Dev's supposedly increased damage for mobs, maybe they didnt take into account the minimal dodge and parry skills the monk class has to countereffect the mobs damage. And if they also increased the mobs toughness, they in turn may not have skilled the monk accordingly also.I have done a little research into this is far as other monk's and have spoken to 6 other's on the Najena server and they all agree that the same has happened to them. I love the monk class because of the dodge's and Dps but this pretty much made me worthless IMHO.If anyone else has any input please post and share with everyone your experience, BTW I have toughness, martial focus and all of my tier2 and tier3 attacks so far at adept1 so thats not a factor, and since it was the same group I was with the buffs were no different. Also I did not receive any bonus to HP because I had the same amount when I logged last night around 10:30pm, so that was completely BS to me. <P>Hrm, I feared comments like this. I noticed yesterday that I was missing a *lot* with my abilities but that was to be expected since most my 20+ abilities are at app1 due my server (Neriak) apparently not having any alchemists. What frightens me is that blue con antelopes take my level 23 monk regularly down to 50% hp and below (the fight that made me check boards took me down to 29% hp and 35% power... and yes, again blue con) which is scary considering they are solo mobs and I am supposed to be able to tank non-solo ones. I admit I have only 735 armor with nearly full set of chainweave gi (only the chest part missing, got boiled leather tunic on that) but I think that's pretty good considering it's hard to buy armor for monks.</P> <P>I didn't notice much increase or decrease in my ability damage as they seem to hit about same as earlier. However, I noticed they miss a lot more. I also noticed my monk gets hit a lot more than earlier which seems to be because regular attacks hit him now more often... or so it appears.</P>

<DIV>Could we get a Dev to look into if our DMG out put or hits per combat round have changed or our unbuffed atk speed even, i also played for 6 hours straight today, not tanking, being DPS for my group in TS on the Varsoons skellies ( 27++ to 29++) and noticed i was hitting very slowly, almost felt like i only had one weapon equipped for Dual weilding, we had a shammie for a few hours after he left, we grabbed a chanter to test out haste, and didnt see any real improvement ethier. Im not real concerned with my tanking abilitys i think there fine as i tanked the lvl 27++-29++ skellies not too badly while we looked for replacement tanks, but what i am worried about is my hits per round, dmg out put seemed ok too, just the speed i was hittign was dramatically slow.
