For those who say monks can't tank after 30...

They're Batons, they are funny to watch as they have the animation of sticks hopefully SOE will fix this one day.Edit: Thanks for the info Gage as I was wondering if I'll continue along the path of the Monk. <DIV>I was one of the buffed to 50 monks in beta.  The equipment we used was lvl 40-45, and all of our spells were App3.  While I didn't get the oppertunity to tank against white or higher con ++ / group mobs, there wasn't too much of an issue against the green / blue ++ mobs we ran into.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Keeping your equipment up to par is really important if you want to tank, especially your armor.</DIV>

<DIV>I'll also chime in here and say that monks can easily tank higher lvl mobs provided a rounded group is with ya. I'm a 31 monk atm (Hi it's Kama <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />) and during a Zek run last night I was the MT with a group of 2 clerics, 1 dirge, 1 ranger, 1 swash, myself. Easily took agro with ae taunt and I held it all during the fights. As for tanking, I held up against a few of the named mobs around the zone which were all orange to me. So don't say we can't tank mobs just as easily as a guardian can.</DIV>

12/4 patch states something about a fix to deflection. Did this help monks any? I really really want to roll up a fighter->brawler and eventually go monk, but i'm extremely put off by all the stuff I hear that monks can't tank worth a crap. Supposedly I hear that thier avoidance just doesn't scale properly, and anythign higher than a green/LB con hits them too much.EQ2 promised that at the core of it, any class or subclass could do the arcetype job which means Monks should be able to tank.
