Was running around doing AQ6 mobs tonight - mostly single yellow++ with a few duo yellow+ mobs thrown in. Group had a dirge, cleric, fury, and a few that wandered in and out of the group. For most of the time I was the only fighter in the group, and I was really worried at first but noticed that I was doing an amazing job blocking. Checked my stats and my AGI was 105, much higher than normal. It seemed like that helped a lot - I was tanking for a good 90 minutes and I was easily stopping 5-10 hits in a row on the yellow++ mobs. Had a flawless victory against the last mob in a group too. When the fury left my AGI was down to 85 and I was having a more difficult time tanking, but still our group of 3 or 4 was having zero problems with yellow++s.To contrast, last night I was in a group tanking centaurs and having a much more difficult time. The humanoid mobs were using many more combat styles and it was causing serious lifespan problems for the monk. Todays success tanking griffons and lions made me feel much better about our class and our tanking viability, and left me with a thought: maybe stats do matter now?
