Hello, thanks for reply, i have decided to go STR/STA equally, because i think 2 good DWs and the STR line would outdamage a 1H and Buckler So i am choosing STR for my DW ( i use for like 1-3 monsters) but i am also adding as many points into STA ( i use 1H and shield for 3+ mobs) So the STR will increase my 1H's auto atack damage and i will also have buckler damage, so when i am tanking i can still deal a really good damage crits and when soloing 1-3 i can do amazing damage also This ok thnx guys

If you plan on tanking alot, the Stamina line is your best option. You retain decent tanking abilities plus you do alot of damage ... far more than dual wielding. You might think dual wielding does more damage than a double-attacking Stamina build, but it doesn't. The buckler damage in the Stamina line is not important... the 76% chance to double attack with a one-hander will tear dual wielding to shreds. If you think you won't tank often or will only do some light tanking, you also have the option of going with a 2hander build. Just increase your crit chance (STR), haste (INT) and/or DPS (WIS) and you should be good to go!Dual wielding is the least damaging set you can go with mostly because of the way our AAs play with the mechanics of the game. If you want the highest DPS you can get, avoid dual wielding.

If you only go STR/STA then your 1hander will do more damage than anything else you have... the 2hander will do less damage, the dual wields will do less damage. In order to do more or equal damage with a 2hander, you have to buy multiple lines committed to increasing the 2hander such as STR/INT or STR/WIS or even STR/WIS/INT.If you take the Stamina line to get the Double Attack, no other weapon you carry will ever outdamage a 1hander because you will not have enough points to boost their damage enough. Here is the easy way to see it:With STR/STA1-hander + buckler = HIGH DAMAGE2-hander = MEDIUM DAMAGEdual-wield = LOW to MEDIUM DAMAGE

If you really want to use duel wield, then your best option would be wisdom line and max the dps buff, then strength line and max crits, then intelligence and max haste, I guess. This still won't be nearly as good as stamina line with buckler, or a 2H build. but gl

Edit: don't understand why you ask for the best dps build, then when people tell you, you insist on using duel wields, which is the least amount of dps you can do. Not saying you shouldn't do what you want to do, but if you had said in the OP that you were using dw, would've saved some time

Message Edited by FightGame on 01-22-2007 01:01 PM
