<DIV>Hey guys im currently stamina line specced and int line specced for increase haste for hate gain by hittign the mobs more and with the 76% chance of double attacking. Now my problem is my guilds Mt is going to be a guardian and they are testing out the current guardians in guild, but they dont even consider me at all? Now it's not because im crap, its because im a berserker, and they think only guardians can tank for raids. Could anyone give me some pointers on what spec to maybe have to hold the hate and take the hits if i was to be MT and why the hell do people think guardians are so much better?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Brommix Mountain'King</DIV>

<DIV>I would suggest wisdom line for the extra mitigation and being able to tank in defensive stance without losing any skills. Stamina for the added dps that double attack adds, which pound for pound, produces more aggro then any other aa line.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>As far as Guardians vs Berserkers goes... right now HP is king and guardians have more hps if equally equipped with the Berserker. Doesn't mean the Zerk can't tank this stuff either, because I do just fine.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The point I think you should be considering is that you chose to be a zerker and they chose guardian. Are you a smarter tank then them? Are you guys dying because they can't hold aggro or can't position a mob right or are slow on the pull? If they can get the job done, why not let them? They chose to be the most un-fun tank class to play (imho) give them the benefit to do what they were created to do. We get the sick groups dps, the reputation as the best grind tanks. Let the guardians have something too.</DIV>

Not only do Guardians have more HPs than zerkers do, they have self/group buffs and abilities that are designed to mitigate damage. Zerkers abilitiesbuffs are half-[Removed for Content] damage modifiers. The only buffs we get to mitigate damage are our 30s defense/mit buffs. These help, but they don't add to our surviveability like Guardian abilities do. We are meant to dish out more damage so mobs die faster and thus take less damage. On raid mobs, our extra damage means little in the length of time to kill a mob. Therefore, Guardians will be better raid tanks, so don't feel left out that they aren't choosing you as a MT. Since you aren't tanking on raids i'd suggest going pure damage. Pure damage means going 4, 4, 8 in 3 lines of your choice. As far as what 3 lines you want to go 4, 4, 8 in, is completely up to you. Str is my personal favorite. If you have an axe, you get an extra CA with decent damage and almost a 100% chance to crit afterwards. You also get a 22% chance to crit. This is the only AA line that effects your CAs as well as your auto attack. I don't know about you but I like seeing my AEs crit and huge numbers pop up over all the mobs heads. Agi is nice if you like AE damage. You get an extra AE ability that has a short cast time and a short recast if you have a spear. Also the 24% chance to hit all the mobs you are facing with an autoattack is nice esp if you are using a 2 hander. With a good 2 hander you can be hitting for 700+ with regular attacks (depending on your DPS mod and mob debuffs) Buckler is nice from the double attack but tanking any ^^^ white or yellow is extremely hard without the extra avoidance, so you'll have to switch to a tower shield in groups if you choose to go this way. Wis line is good for 19 dps but belly smash is a waste if you're using a 2 hander (since you can't shield bash) though one of our AEs has a knockdown. Its also a waste if you're fighting an epic. Int line is also good. With the always haste around 20% and the extra hase if you are using a sword you can get like 45% haste self buffed. In the end though, its all about personal preference.<div></div>
