I have been enjoying my Zerker quite a bit, i have been 2 boxing him with a fury. And its quite a fun experiance. Tho my hands get tired from all the hot key mashing on 2 keyboards hehe.So i will generally be duoing, or grouping.Anyway, for a balanced dps/tanking zerker any reccomendations for AA's? I plan to go for mainly the sta line. But beyond that im not sure, should i then go for wis and max the +dps aa?Also as far as stances go, do you guys tend to use more def or offenseive stances. I notice that i go from 15% avoid to 28% avoid from off to defensive, thats a pretty huge amount. One last thing, if any of you guys have any general advice i would appreciate it.

someone correct me if I am wrong, but I believe the dps mod only works for auto attack damage. Like haste only works on auto attack damage. If you are the type to hit the CAs alot, you might look at the crit under str as haste and dps mods won't help as much as someone who just does Auto attack damage.I duo with my wife who plays a mystic, and I took the final in wis so I could stay in offense while tanking. It works well for me. I went 4,4,8,4,8 in wis, and just finished up 4,4,8 in str for the 22% crit. I am somewhat undecided about the last 5 points. Looking at either 4 in the mit of wisdom to max it, or put 5 into sta to get the extra HP.Leaning more to the hp than the mit right now though.Of course, I will never take the buckler line for personal reasons. So bear that in mind.

Message Edited by Giland on 12-11-2006 09:23 AM

Interesting idea i do suppose. I just wonder does the ability to ue a stance with no penalties make up for the dps increase and block increase from the sta line.

IMHO I have to tank in offensive alot when killing yellows... which is pretty common now. This means stance mastery is kind of a *must*I did 1 - bind wound?sta4 - sta4 - block attack thing8 - double attack1 - ripostewis4 - wis4 - belly smash8 - dps mod8 - mitigation8 - stance masteryIt works pretty good.I use to have more in riposte than I do now... I respec'd to move 3 points from riposte to mitigation.I am a zerker/fury 2 boxer.... so I consider myself knowledgable on the topic ;-pIf you had a warden instead of a fury stance mastery would be less of an issue because they get a + slash/crush/pierce skill instead of the +dps/haste skill.... this would allow you to be in defensive and still hit very often. The frontal arc AE proc that you get from offensive is NOT worth the MIT loss... but the loss of aggro from the low slashing skill hurts too much now without someone buffing that skill.I have bought 2 feathered rings (+3 slashing each) and I have a +6 slashing relic bracer and stance mastery... so if I swap out my light chitin rings and drop mit like that I can get +slashing but a bit better and do OK on yellows... but dropping mit to increase +slash to avoid dropping mit to increase slash seems kinda funny to me ;-p The bonus is the feathered rings have some added STR etc.... but then again it's eaiser to go defensive than it is to swap out 2 rings during combat.

Hmm very interesting AA setup there. The only thing i am curious about, is why go for the mit over riposte? If i did go stance mastery i suppose offensive without penalties is pretty worthwhile. I may consider going that routeIf i didn't like my fury so much, id consider a warden so that i could stay in defensive. Wardens just don't seem to have enough fire power.
Message Edited by Fuzzywookie on 12-11-2006 10:45 AM

Wardens do have less firepower... that is why I went fury... plus the group invis.I mean if you are in offensive.. you have all the +slashing you need... so then fury adds his +dps/haste... and well... you ROCK. smack thorns on that... and give the power regen from spirit of the bat on the zerker (which is where you mash the most CA's so consume the most power) and you are sitting pretty. However the bezerker in defensive with the warden + slashing buff is a much smoother course to sail in a group.... it wasn't really a big deal until EoF but suddenly + slashing is very valuable to me... I mean warden buff is like casting +15% MIT! Because when you cast it I go Def.... you don't cast it and I am probably Offensive You get some good avoidence also... For a tag team I would think you would stick to farming green or blue heorics with the occasional white for maximum exp/loot... least that is what I do... and to do that Fury is a better fit.... and STA KoS AA line on the zerker.I then suggest upping your proc rates on the +DPS/haste on both the zerker and fury in the EoF AA's.. and the regens ;-p I think I have perma 172 regen now... without getting M1's in regen... and not counting the zerker proc regen... and I am not done maxing those AAs... I would love to break 200 heh. I don't heal much between fights.. I usually heal on the way to find the next kill via perma-regen. Necros LOVE me.

I started with a Guardian to duo with my Fury and on the Guardian Forum someone suggested a Berserker might be better. I only have both the Guardian and Berserker to Lv 11 now trying to max out AA point gain so just doing quests and preventing combat exp.

Anyhow I saw allot of discussion about Fury/Berserk duos here was wondering if there are any thoughts on Guardian as well. I have tried a Cony duo but the Solder Pet does not seem to do as well has a fighter/priest combo.

I 2 box a ber/def and I just respec from sta/wis to sta/int and all I can say, boy can I tank a lot better now. My avoidance went from 6200 to 6900 but my mit dropped from 5300 to 5000, while buffed from my defiler. As for the defiler dps, with the right AA's the def pet can put out over 130 dps, which does help out a lot when you are killing a named mob. The ber/def combo is a great one at level 70 with 50 plus AA's but it is slow going till you get there.
