<DIV>Hi all,</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I started playing EQ2 3 months ago, went for Necro and now feel that I need a change and was considering playing a Berzerker.</DIV> <DIV>I am actually having a hard time deciding between Berserker and Bruiser/Monk.</DIV> <DIV>I know that the 3 of them can tank, Berzerker weras plate which makes it easy for him while Brawlers rely on avoidance. but which one is better to have, mitigiation or avoidance?</DIV> <DIV>I also like to solo, again, comingh from the necro world <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> so my question is, who can solo better? lower and higher level content? can Berserkers solo at all?</DIV> <DIV>Is there a way for Berserkers to heal themselves? i think that I have heard someone talk about it in game but i am not sure.</DIV> <DIV>My last question is about DPS. Equally equipped Berserker Vs. Brawler, who would output more DPS?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thank you all in advance!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>
Zerkers can self-medicate with potions and the AP skill, Bind Wound. Even with that, I'd never consider solo'ing with my zerker. I've solo'd with a monk before and it's pretty effective. Having the ability to FD is critical to the survivability of a monk/bruiser.<div></div>

If you want to solo... stay necro... However a bezerker has great mitigation and DPS... it performs great in a tag team with any healer... so you just need 1 other person to be effective. Now if you are good buds with a healer.. or feel like 2 boxing... great. However most healers you group with will immediately start filling up the group with more people... which if you are questing it means you are now trying to do 6 different quests in different areas of the dungeon and you end up not finishing any.So for solo Necro... or if you really must switch... probably bruiser or monk (for fighter archetype)For a Tag team or a group if you want a fighter... Zerker. For a raid fighter archetype Guardian.... but you only need one... all other fighters are better off being zerkers IMHO. It seems cruel... but hey... I didn't write the game I just live in it and say how it works... not my fault.<div></div>

<font face="Arial">If you really want to solo then I would go with the monk. I have a berserker and a monk. Berserkers are very group friendly and I think need a group to make their abilities shine. My monk is almost always played solo. I use that character to explore new areas, in addition to regular adventuring. The monk's feign death and wind walk (invisibility) make monks the best choice for solo melee characters. They don't have the highest mitigation, but their avoidance works well enough for solo content.</font><div></div>
