<DIV>Okay, has ANYONE looked into the AGI line?  I just thought of something that I just might test out.  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I have 8 points into Dragoon's Cyclone which gives me a 24% on a successful autoattack to hit any mob in an arc in front of me (pretty much same thing as Open Wounds) </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Now in the stamina line there's that cool, hip, everyone-is-doing-it, double attack thing that gives you a 76% chance to double hit (with 8 points).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>NOW!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Because the Cyclone is autoattack, it SAYS that these extra AoE attacks are treated as normal attacks, so they can proc other things.  I know that the 2nd attack in the double attack for the STA line does NOT allow procs, </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>My question is:  Can you proc the double attack off of the Cyclone AoE proc?  I'm probably going to just test this soon and answer my own question but I wonder if it's really worth it with only a 24% chance to begin with (cyclone)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thoughts? Comments?</DIV>

The reason why most players dont use the double attack from the AGI line is because of these:1. The percentage isnt as high, with the STA line, its 'almost' as if you are dual weilding.2. Raids, if you have a mezzer in your raid and you proc that arc auto attack right after the mobs have been mezzed..well...bad things happen...3. One mob at a time. How often are you hitting every mob in a group of 3 mobs? The only pro's of the AGI line ar ethat you get a 'bit' more aggro control because you do damage to the other mobs in the encounter sometimes, keeping the hate on yourself.<div></div>

<DIV>76% to doube attack = 176% of your 1H DR = ~130% of a comparable 2H/DW DR. PLUS, buckler reversal is a really nice autopilto extra damage ability.  Unless you are a level 70 Fabled raid tank who needs to use a tower shield, I don't see how a zek can pass up STA. I was an AGI/WIS guy but have switched to STA/WIS. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So take STA. I don't know what level you are, but you can quest for a decent buckler (level 62) in SoS, the Soul Survivor step of the Claymore line.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Now, your second line is really up to you. Do you wants crits(STR), haste(INT) or dps(WIS)? The crit number cannot be buffed by other players so a lot of people like that one. I went WIS because I like the DPS boost as it is always lower than my haste in good exp groups and I like Bellysmash a lot. Bellysmash (the 1st WIS ability) compliments STA line well because our shield bash is one of the few knockdowns we get so since you are using a shield anyway in STA, why not get something extra. The tradeoff is that you have to swap in a hammer/mace after the knockdown (if it isn't your primary weapon already) but that is easy with hotkeys. I use Sceptre of Rahotep right now for this. Bellysmash is a 930 mitigation debuff at level 3 and it lasts a good 10 seconds or so. That means all the other melees in the group are getting a dps boost too.</DIV>

<DIV>NITZ! how the hell are ya?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I'm not all that interested in being a "raid tank" just because I'm not going to hit 70 anytime before they raise the cap again (currently 59).  I do tank for my guild on occasion when there isn't any other tank on, but it's usually just heroics or *maybe* the epicx2....I've never tanked for a x4 though, and don't really see myself doing that, unless something happens.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So with that in mind....I wanted to go PURE dps...which by the sound of it still is STA line.  I have nothing against the STA line other than "everyone is doing it" type mentality.  I suppose I should just suck it up and jump off the cliff like everyone else eh? =D</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Time to use that respec then...  Thanks you two for the responses.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>EDIT: wait a tick....no one really answered my question.  The question is if double-attack would trigger cyclone.</DIV><p>Message Edited by RufusDeMarko on <span class=date_text>11-30-2006</span> <span class=time_text>04:31 PM</span>

<div></div><div></div>Well this is somthing I want to know too. I have gone sta (double attack), agi (multiple) and am working on str(crits).I do find with this setup that i often kill a group of mobs more-or-less at the same time. But single target dps aint great.Looking at this<font color="#cc00ff">(Level 8 Tested)Tier 3: Offensive BonusName: Dragoon's CycloneMechanic: Combat Art Self-BuffLimitation: Dragoon's Spin (Level 4)Effect (Initial): 3.0% chance that auto-attacks will hit up to 4 targets in front of the Dragoon.Effect (Further): 3.0% chance that auto-attacks will hit up to 4 targets in front of the Dragoon.Effect (Level 4): 12.0% chance that auto-attacks will hit up to 4 targets in front of the Dragoon.Effect (Level <img src="/smilies/b2eb59423fbf5fa39342041237025880.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />: 24.0% chance that auto-attacks will hit up to 4 targets in front of the Dragoon.Art: When cast a purple pyramid with runes appears overhead. When the ability procs there is no noticeable animation or effect.Comments: Dragoon's Cyclone does not require a spear. Dragoon's Cyclone is a toggleable buff which is cast on yourself, 3.0 second cast, 0.5 second recovery, 10.0 second recast. Attacks which trigger Dragoon's Cyclone will cause an auto-attack check on up to 4 enemies total in front of the Dragoon. Even if the hit that triggered Cylone misses, you will still attack all nearby opponents. The area of effect for Cyclone is roughly melee range in a 180 degree spread in front of the Dragoon. <font color="#ccff33">These cyclone auto-attack checks are treated exactly as if you auto-attacked these targets, meaning you can trigger proc effects that can be triggered off auto-attacks</font>, and also that you can miss, be parried, blocked, or crit the attack. These attacks will break any crowd control effects, even if the target has been removed from AOE. Dragoon's Cyclone is a toggle-able buff however, allowing you to disable it in crowd control situations.Relevant Calculations/Analysis: None.<font color="#ffffff">Grabbed from <a href="http://http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=4&message.id=21252" target="_blank">http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=4&message.id=21252</a>Looks like double attack could trigger on any one of the targets hit!!
