<DIV> <DIV>I would like to extend a warm welcome to all you Zerkers! I have returned after some time away from online games. So here I am, finishing my patching so that I can get in and play again. However, Im not so sure I want to continue my current characters. Pally is my main (at level 3<img src="/smilies/b2eb59423fbf5fa39342041237025880.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />, followed by a monk and conjy (both level 20 and 21 respectively). Heres what Im looking for:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>1. Soloability - I hear everything about raiding....I dont raid. Mostly Solo due to kids and work. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>2. Fun Class - Something not so overly complex its mind boggling but still challenging at the same time.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>3. Group oriented - Since I do plan on actually doing a little grouping this go round. =)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thats the main points I can think of at the moment. I am pretty much a casual player. I work and have kids so playing will be on days off and on nights, specially after the rug rats are asleep. Thanks for any help in advance! </DIV></DIV>

<DIV>WB, as they say in Acronym Land. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>You may not get as objective a view as might be possible, asking in the zerker forum an all. We're the converted, tis a bit like going in a church and asking if god exists. :smileytongue:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Soloability. We can do it. I did that pretty much exclusively to level 50 before the "ooh ooh" buzz from all the new things the game had to offer relented enough to have me spend time grouped with my guildees. </DIV> <DIV>We're tough by dint of our armour, and our health regens fast due to a couple of our arts. Our first AP reward is small self-heal which greatly reduces downtime between scraps. Our abilities are not the best to solo powerful single targets though, so best avoid those even-conning named mobs and other ^^^. But our array of AE's make us excel at ripping through groups of mobs designed for soloers and small groups. By your 60's, you'll be cackling as you cycle through upto half a dozen different AE's. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>For fun, we're great if you enjoy what we do. And we do what we do with style. Zerker style that is. We're the first ones in and the last ones out of a fight. We may not have the fiddly utility of other classes, but there's little more useful than being able to smack seven shades of poodoo out of a few mobs while taking their best efforts. We are RAWR. </DIV> <DIV>Personally, I play mine as a zerker that tanks and that works for me. Some others enjoy playing a tank that has an ability to go berserk occasionally. There is a difference, a matter of focus, but all are appropriate for all our different playstyles. </DIV> <DIV>I used to enjoy dual-weilding as my EQ1 zerker was only allowed 2handers, and it was good, it was a ferocious sight, and still effective in my role. I've since changed to 1hander and buckler as I wanted a visual and stylistic change and also wanted to enjoy the additional bash combat art and not having an AP I couldn't use due to the choices of equipment. You find your fun in your choices. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>We're great in groups. Our zerker tanking leads the way in group situations. What with our AE's an all, it'd be a task for another tank to come up to what we can offer. In raiding, others have the floor, and far as I'm concerned they're welcome to it as I loathe that aspect of the game. </DIV> <DIV>Our group buffs are not the best, but we ain't that kinda class. We can give everyone some additional health regen and strength, temporary and slight increases to mitigation, and teach them to go a lil berserk now and again. Actually, the additional strength can sometimes lead to mages expressing thanks, as the lightweight pansies can get encumbered all too easily. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Get a good rock tune going in your head and let rip with a zerker. It's good for the soul. :smileywink:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><EM>Let the bodies hit the floor,</EM></DIV> <DIV><EM>let the bodies hit the floor,</EM></DIV> <DIV><EM>let the bodies hit the floor, </EM></DIV> <DIV><EM>let the bodies hit the...</EM></DIV> <DIV><EM>FLOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRR!</EM> </DIV>

<DIV>ya, he basically summed it up. cept the soloing named mobs part, im not sure what class could do any better, my monk of equal lvl + equal twinkage has more trouble with varsoon that my zerk does....actually my zerk is a lil less twinked hes still in ruthenium jewelry but like 4 peices...(they are both lvl 44, well at the time of killing varsoon, my zerk is now 45) ill take zerk for main, as you will mow through mobs with basically zero downtime if well equipped.</DIV>
