View Full Version : Question about "Preserverance"

I was just wondering how useless this ability really is, since after I get all of the other things I really want out of our EoF AA's, I will still have 2 points left over and it will be an option for me to get this ability for only 1 point if I really want to. However, as it is I am already maxing out the upgrades to both of our HP regen buffs, and along with the Brell cloak and Hygenic lining I will wind up having 217 points of HP regen from my own buffs...which, if I'm not mistaken, is already over the cap for a level 70 player, assuming that the cap is still 3 times your level, unless that changed at all with the EoF update, which I am not sure of either, since they raised the cap on many other things like mitigation and haste. But if the cap for HP regen is still only 210, then the extra 100 points of regen that the Preserverance ability is supposed to give me (when I'm below 30% health) with do nothing at all for me, correct? Or does that ability happen to override the HP regen cap in some way? I would really like to know for sure before I actually waste one of my points on it. Now, on the other hand, if the regen from this ability will stack with what I already have, then it would be worth it IMO. <div></div>

I've never tested it but it sounds like one of the most pathetic AAs I've had the misfortune to see. I'd doubt it'd go over the hp regen cap and even if it did, what's 100 more hp every 6s gonna do if you're down to 30%? Our entire EoF line is disappointing and the final abilites just suck; Cyclones may be useful so that taunts land and Gut Roar has some situational use but some other classes get far better final abilities. <div></div>

Yeah you're right, that ability is totally useless especially since it only works when you're below 30% health, and it probably doesn't do anything if you're already over the regen cap either from self-buffs, items, or buffs from other players anyway. IMO this ability should be changed to a thing that decreases the tick rate of your regen when you're below 30% health to like 3 seconds instead of just adding on more regen to the standard tick rate of 6 seconds, then it would be somewhat useful. <div></div>

IMHO regen is what you use to "top off" your HP bar or to stay in the "safe range" 50-100% longer before needing heals.... if you are down to 30% HP... you are screwed. I mean you could ride at 30% to get the extra regen but as we all know alot of mobs can hit for 30% if they get lucky... so well... that's probably not a good idea... and if you really are riding at 30% you aren't getting regen consistantly.. you would need to ride at 20% to really max it out.Now if you combined this with the STR line end from KoS... well... it might be an OK combo for soloing... because near the end of the fight odds are you will be low... but you will also have more regen and DPS.... even a few ticks of this hitting might be the difference between win and lose... but only on tough fights when solo... and best to be combined with the end of the STR KoS line as I was saying.<div></div>
