<DIV>The newest issue on everyones mind is the changes to the combat system. Recently Dymus (Lead Designer for EQ2) posted a few tips to making this new system work for you. What does he mean by this? Well Mobs are harder to hit, or avoid our CA's due to our lack of skills such as Slashing, crushing, Peircing. Also Avoidance by means of Defense and Parry are more important under the new system. So, I have noticed that there is a definite lack of items in the game currently that give a bonus to these, now important, skills. In order to maintain hate, we have to be hitting these mobs, our accuracy is of utmost importance. Mobs Resists are tweaked through the roof, and our taunts are being resisted at a greater rate then before, as well as just plain old avoiding being hit. So are we to now be forced to take the ultimate in the Wis Line of the KoS (warrior) Tree in order to still use Defensive stance while tanking? Are we going to have to have the 8 points in that ultimate because we will have to use our Offensive stance to tank just to maintain hate? Feasibly if you had the avoidance and mit without the D stance bonus, you could use O stance and its benefits to gain the skills Dymus is suggesting are needed...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Wardens have a buff that adds to the needed skills...so are Wardens now essential to a successfull group? </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>These are the questions begging to be answered...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Just as a note, I have tanked the new zones, including one grouping the first area of Castle Mistmoore past the first set of doors, where the Pianos are, and it was extremely hard, but doable...just bring your repair kits *chuckles*....The issue I had was that there was little reward to doing it...Everything on the second floor and some downstairs are Epic x2 content, but impossible to do with just two groups, at least that was my experience...Main tank group had mystic, templar, fury, troubador, zerker (me tanking), and dps, and the x2 content cut me down in quick fashion...Heck the heroic content was so tough, it kept us on the edge of our seats...with a full two groups...and as I said, no reward, loot was non existant off heroics, with one group and well, the x2 content we couldn't kill if our lives depended on it...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Syrius Silverblade</DIV> <DIV>70/58 Berserker</DIV> <DIV>Venekor</DIV>

I my taunts are getting resisted over 50% for the time - 3 are ADP3 and 2 are Master 1. I have most of the lengendary gear from KoS with +slashing, and a piece of relic.</P> <P>Bottom line is I better enjoy these two zones because I will need to farm them for class gear for 6 months.</P> <P>Raiding - yeah right - PUR are now gone. My play time is not the standard for the raid guilds either.</P> <P>I love the new content, I like a new challenge, but when I have 2 healers in crypt I should still be able to tank with my 2 hander. I have 2 months left on my game card, guess I will see what happens because right now things do not look good for zerkers/ tanks in general. Casters did not lose DPS, Healers did not lose healing ability (I promise not to resist a heal - and no more fissles), but tanks lost ability to generate aggro.</P>
yep i am thinking too SOE patched the fun out off the game...(i smell a SWG...)
