Im a lvl 46 zerker atm.. still raising fast tho.. I got Screaming mace and pristine imbued Ebon shield when I am tanking and I am in Defensive stance.. I also got 2 pristine imbued Cedar sticks for DPS.. I spam my attacks all the time no matter if I am MT or not.. all my armor is Ebon armor.. except for my gloves.. any Experienced Zerkers got any good tips to be a good berserker.. cuz I have the idea that a Zerker is hack and slash 4TEHWIN!!!11! DEATH from above.. and so on.. but lately I been slowly figuring out that it might aint so easy and simple.. So anything will be appreciated..Thank you <img src="/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /><div></div>

<P>Once you hit 58 you must learn to master the "zerker pull". When a pull goes wrong get in the middle of the rest of the mob's, pop gibe, rampage, and open wounds and pretend like you meant to do it. :smileytongue:</P> <P>The above poster covered the real main issues. </P> <P>I'll only add that be prepared to get blamed for any wipe that happens even if it was the dirty necro that AOE'd in the wrong room or the spastic scout that was jumping around the mob for position and pulled the rest of the room even after you turned its back to the group. </P> <P>Also IMO If you want the most most versitility as a zerk take the buclker AA line. It will allow you to keep your DPS up and tank with the extra avoidance of a buckler at the same time. </P>

My advice to you is simple: Don't use the Screaming Mace when tanking! Berserkers hold aggro through DPS more than anything else, and the Screaming Mace proc has a sizable detaunt attached to it. Virtually any other one-hander would work. The Screaming Mace is awesome for DPS and off-tanking, but never tank with it =P<div></div>

well now thats weird.. I have got like 3 different views on Screamin mace froma lot of ppl.. 1. The STR increase does the detaunt no matter as they will diminish eachother(or something liek that <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />)2. doesnt matter.. use whatever you want..3. something like these replies..ooh well.. hehe.. but then a Buckler has much less defense then a Tower shield, right??wouldnt that make me a badder(if that word even exist) tank??Thank you all for the great advice by far.. its awesome <img src="/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /><div></div>

You really shouldn't be tanking with the screaming mace, that de-aggo proc in it will make it extremely hard if not impossible to hold aggro. As for the buckler line, its the most common/popular spec for zerkers, and the slight lose in protection (avoidance) vs using a tower shield isn't that big of a deal, especially once you get down the line farther.<div></div>

<DIV>The buckler line is a no brainer for a zerker. Go 4 5 8 8 on your stam aa's and 4 4 8 8 on your wis and you will be set. Don't worry about a tower shield, they are for guardians =)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The reason for this is simple. One of a zerkers primary taunts/agro control is his DPS, with a maxed stamina AA line, a zerkers DPS is just awesome.</DIV>

<DIV>BTW to answer your mob name question. the line you need on a basic pull macro would be...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>/g INC >>> %T <<< arm yourselves</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Or something like that, the %T is the replaced by what you are targetting.</DIV>

I also thought useing the buckler would make me a bad tank and originally speced STR/WIS... however after seeing our main zerker tank with a buckler and putting a buckler on to see the impact it had on my ability to tank without having the actual AA I noticed it didn't mean all THAT much on a tower shield. So I respec'd and I haven't regretted it... the best part is I hold aggro WAY better... AND when I am not tanking I qualify as DPS without changing out my weapons... which means I have to bid on less offensive fableds. Now this doesn't mean this AA path will be just as kick [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] after today's revamp goes live... but I kinda doubt it will be nerfed so much that it would be useless. Avoidence will mean more with EoF from what I understand... and shield use is avoidence.<div></div>

Hehehe, Insolent Gibe..my favorite skill...Dont be afraid to use Gibe if you know and area/instance and need a bit of extra hate, Scouts and Mages can be rough on your aggro towards the mobs sometimes!

<div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div>while waiting for EoF to finish download here is my pov the class i played everyday for the last 8months, it has changed alot on the way, I usualy mt from lvl13 to lvl70(got 70 3 weeks ago) in groups and sub tier7 raids on a pve server, learned new stuff everyday realy, overall when i was 42 i was cycling alot of defensing buffs, taunts and stuns, around 50 started dueling more and using ancient teachings and other aoe, right now at 70 for 3 weeks, i find i rely alot on str line since i have only berrate as master rest at adept3, the mobs are rarely high con above me so i mix it up more. yesterday was in a group with 64's in sos, was no point in taunting i was doing more dps than them anyway, no point in buffing defense the mobs are 6 lvls under me and i know the zone well from having done it 30 times, so i try new stuff, a dual weild sword dropped and had another dual wield vendor trash in my inventory, started the parser and compared to my 2hander, mess arround with stances, no stance is a stance too, i have alot of gear in my hotbars and toggle them depending on the encounter, most vault mobs doing no physical damage ill be using juggernaut everytime it comes up, if i take time to switch jewels for resists, ill abosorb 75 % of it and shug a potion for the other 25% if in duo or trio smaller groups, this is for pve, tried buckler line twice but it realy felt like an 'jack off all trade autopilot-cruise control mode' compared to what i been doing, I am aware that this is non-standard, but just like non-standard groups can be the most fun, same for non standard setups, but to answer your question how to be a good zerker i'd say be a good group leader, start alot of groups, raid dfc since you're 42, maybe have macro with a pull message in /s, turn the mobs around so their backs are facing the group, get use to putting your back to wall for knockback and finding safe spots or corners to set camp and pull to. Finally, know the other classe abilities, how you can work with them and them with you.-W<div></div><p>Message Edited by Whacky11 on <span class=date_text>11-14-2006</span> <span class=time_text>01:36 PM</span>

I totally enjoy insolent gibe, and rest of our "multiple mob" tools. Having a group with a druid, and shaman.. Get some dps.. Go pull whole rooms, and enjoy the fun. I still am surprised nearly everyday when I get some pug'r in my regular group and he/she says.. "Wow, arent you worried about dying fighting like that" (Shaman laughs) or.. "This is the best group ever for xp".. After you get some good skills up, and get your abilities up, you'll have the tools to show some groups some excellent times, and be a nasty front in any xp grouping.Otherwise, the above tips still apply.. <span>:smileyhappy:</span><div></div>

the one thing I never liked about exp groups was the fact that people were always so used to grouping with Gaurdians. I would shout for an exp group and get in one finally to find a Gaurd 3-6 levels below me tanking, as I would pull aggro form being in offensive stance and just spamming attacks to make the mobs die faster, they would all get [Removed for Content] off. I explain that what i'm doing is a good ol' manuver called 'dpsing' and they cry because i'm making the gorup go faster.Or the almighty, ''hey pull mobs faster, were not getting enough exp'' deal. I would replace a gaurdian in a group because he/she had to leave or somthing, I would be pulling mobs by the second and the group would ocmplain that their not getting good exp fast enough...theres no winning in exp groups T_T<div></div>
