I currently have a level 25 high elf berserker and let me say my character sucks out loud, i can barely solo a level 23 mob and let alone a level 25 one. I also seem to have no health any one know what i should do?
<P>Are your weapons/armor/CA's updated ? at 25 you should have no problem at all soloing even con NON-Heroic mobs</P> <P> </P> <P> </P> <P>Verge</P>

Zerkers, or any tank really for that matter, are very gear dependant. If your gear sucks, then your toon is gonna be sucking too, no real way around that <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /><div></div>
<P>So so true. Tanks are easy to play, but you need to drop alot of cash into them to become effcient(sp?) I found that out with my bruiser, even though they can tank good, they are not good enough for what my lttle group is up to now and we do not even raid.</P> <P>Verge 63 Bruiser</P> <P>Mistmoore</P>

I got the handcrafted over aq and it didn't cost hardly anything. Maybe 1 gold per slot. You might want to try gathering or tsing to build up some plat.

I've found the AQ armor to be... less than impressive. It's good, but not great. In the 20s I went for pristine carbonite (Handcrafted) vanguard plate as a base, with Mastercrafted (steel) pieces where I could get them. Same for weapons, a pair a dual-wield, a 1H and a tower shield. I went for imbued where possible for the added damage/heal procs. This shouldn't be prohibitively expensive, and should beat the AQ armor on stat buffs if you go for post-24 pieces. Also, make sure your CAs are upgraded to Ap4. Ad1s are good if they drop or you find them cheap on the broker, but the difference between Ap4 and Ad1 isn't enough to pay a premium for. Now, Ad3, that's worth going for, but still dont' waste a rare or coin on one for a CA you're going to replace within a level or two.Note: don't bother with anything less than plate, and avoid other types of plate if vanguard's available. You want the STR bonuses that come with vanguard plate, those go straight to your damage and power pool.If you need coin, check the price of raws on the broker and then go farming for what's selling. You can make a suprising amount of coin selling stacks of even T1/T2 raws, and there's sections of Antonica where you can find lots of T2 nodes without too much aggro around.<div></div>

<DIV>I would spend a day harvesting. When you harvest make sure to clear out all the nodes, not just rocks, for two reasons: 1) when you clear them all you increase the chance of a rock spawning and 2) the rares you get from the other nodes you can sell/trade for ones you need.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>What sucks about being a tank - it's the only thing IMO, I love tanks otherwise - is what the other folks have said, you're really gear-dependant. Tough to gear up. You essentially spend all your moneyin the first 2-3 levels of a new tier on gear and taunts only so you can save like mad and spend it all again in the first 2-3 levels of the next tier.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The reward?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>New armor, including as many mastercrafted pieces as possible: 5pp. Adept3 taunts: 2pp. New weapons/bow/shield/dolls: 1.5pp. New jewelry: 50gp. Having the healer comment on how much better you are than the last tank the group had: priceless.</DIV>

Yup... an't be running around in el Cheapo armor and weaps... we are the most gear dependent Archetype... and the one that has the most impact on the group.Think about it like this... if you have a templar with 4000 MIT and a zerker with 3000 MIT in your group... which person is really doing the mitigation? The zerker... who has armor that is really only used when stuff goes wrong? the templar. You NEED good armor. If you can not afford good armor or don't want to harvest to be able to get some of it... well... I'd pick a different class... someone who doesn't want to invest in-game plat into thier toon could never enjoy being a tank for most groups it's just too frustrating and people get irritated with you.<div></div>
