Doomrage or Relic?

<DIV>Getting geared up in Doomrage now and got my Relic helm last night.  With EoF, I'd like to have a full suit of something (for the bonus I "think" is coming).  But what pieces should I focus on.  Is the Doomrage considered better then any Relic pieces?  Or visa versa?  I thought I heard somewhere that some Relic pieces have mit bonus, ie: Forearms.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks for the suggestions!</DIV>

<div></div>As far as stats and mitigation I believe that Doomrage is far better than Relic, except for the forearms and gauntlets which are only legendary instead of fabled.  The only advantage that the other Relic pieces have over the fabled Doomrage is the CA bonus on the chest and legplates, and the Relic helm has the Viking look to it if you prefer that. <div></div><p>Message Edited by infernus006 on <span class=date_text>11-02-2006</span> <span class=time_text>06:08 PM</span>

First off the bonus for sets is for armor only in EoF. They aren't putting in bonuses for the relic or doomrage sets so having a full set of either type when you EoF comes out isn't going to matter you are only going to find the sets that give "bonus" stats in the new expansion. It is best to mix and match pieces right now from wahtever you find. To compare them the Doomrage stuff is better except for the wrists. Yes the doomrage gloves are legendary and they have less mit but the stats and resis are much better on the gloves. BUt definetly pick up the relic vambraces, wrists, if you get the chance they are far nicer than the legendary doomrage vambraces. As far as the helemt goes I have both. The doomrage helemt has a tiny tiny bit more mit and a kinda cool proc that works every 10 minutes for 30 or 60 secs I forget. I use the doomrage helemt for most encoutners but switch to my relic one since it has +420 to all resis if I need to boost a certain resis that the doomrage helmet doesn't have.

Actually for boots it would be relic caus they get a +140 vs crushing

And bp/legs usually you can't be choosers on those, i say get which ever comes first imo.<div></div>

I would (personally) use Relic BP over the doomrage. As far as i can remember, doomrage BP has no +mits, and about 10 more mitigation than relic. However, the focus from the relic BP adds alot of damage to Disfigure, and disfigure (at Adept 3) parses as my second most damaging combat art (behind master 1 Destruction). More DPS = more agro, and that (imo) is better than 10ish stat points and a few mit.

ive raided labs 20+ times and seen doomrage spaulders, bp, helm drop once and didnt win them. Id say grab what u can get if the chance is there but remember that when eof comes that relic is getting nerfed a bit
