Gear gap from 58-61

<DIV>I am not a raiding zerk. I am still wearing/wielding T5 Mastercrafted except for the Crimson Targ shield. Do I just wait it out and buy Xegonite at 62 (the stuff is [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] cheap)? All the Treasured stuff I am finding has really crappy stats compared to the cobalt stuff and only a tiny bit more mitigation.  Seems like a bad trade.  I do have the purple pants from SoS, but once again the stats suck compared to cobalt imbued excpet for a timy mit increase. I have not need for the FT IV right now.</DIV>

you mean to get better T6 gear than T6 crafted? that would be correct, the T6 legendary isnt nearly as good or widespread as T7.  however,  at 60 and 61 you are already into T7, whcih is a different story, there is treasured stuff that drops in SoS that is on par with T7 crafted.  You have the pants, there are also bracers and boots.   The only thing that matters for your tanking at that level is mitigation and if you are not tanking, then it becomes even easier, since you can just go for the highest stats regardless of it being high mit or even plate.   Also, are you by chance comparing this stuff to the *old* crafted cobalt?  Because that stuff cant be made anymore and has almost same stats as the new T7,  it really shoudlnt be used for comparison as it isnt available anymore.<div></div>

<P>My 65 zerker is an old toon and I still have the old cobalt.  I just recently upgraded a few pieces.  Arms are where I stuck my xegonite because the only others that I see on the broker are T6.  Maybe I'm not shopping at the right store.  Shoulders are the next item I'll use xeg for because, again, stuff I see is T6 but I want to make my own.  </P> <P>If you have old cobalt, I'd stick to it.  Xegonite and other MC'd aren't necessarily an upgrade. The good items I have to replace the cobalt are not wearable for a few more levels.  If you have some money there seem to be a number of high T6 legendary and fabled items so you could use them instead of xegonite but xegonite IS cheap.</P>

<DIV>forgotten city in the fallen dynasty has higher level tier6 stuff in it... i got some slime covered boots with like 395 mit and decent stats on them they also have to abaility to escape root, or snare which is awesome for pvp, i got them off a named called porcupinous or something like that... you have to go to forgotten city, and make your way to the left or right, just clearing your way, every chance you get go up!!  you'll come to 2 rooms filled with small slime things, clear both rooms at the very top, you'll get a message that you have awakened such and such and porcupinous will pop in the center of the bridge, hes very easy to kill for a triple up..</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> there are also some clay guardians at the top of the climable wall in mystic lake, just outside the shrine, you kill like 4 or 5 rounds of those and 2 named guardians will pop.. they drop some very nice shoulders and forearms, and some greaves that are rare, the mit on the items are like 385, but the stats are nice and the resists are like 850dis, magic and poision.. these items will and can last to the mid 60's becuase of the resists being so high, you also dont have to have a full group.. i would say 4 lvl58 and up could do it, tank healer and 2 dps..</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>but if you have the old cobalt that should last you till mid 60's as the old cobalt is very good, probably as good as the xegonite stuff or better..</DIV><p>Message Edited by ChopStix on <span class=date_text>11-08-2006</span> <span class=time_text>12:43 PM</span>
