Because it gives the next hit following it, a chance to crit.  You might not want to waste that chance on some reactive, or auto attack, for example.

I tend to agree this AA rank is kinda crappy.  It says you get 10secs of +70% melee crit.  Does that mean I truly get 10secs where each melee swing has a 70% change to crit?  If so, why is there no icon that flashes for 10secs.  Now the description only says the next hit after a successful attack.  So what on earth does the 10secs signify then.  I normally don't even use this spell anyways, but it's there I guess as an extra CA.<div></div>

<DIV>never noticed the 10 second thing.  I would guess that your next single hit, that has a chance to crit, would have to be within 10 seconds, otherwise your chance expires.  I know from experience from using it, that it really is only a single hit following the use of this ability....certainly not a chance to crit every hit in that 10 second time period.  Because I had 8 points in it, which gave 100% "chance", so really no chance at all, and I only saw 1 or  2 crits following it.</DIV>

I have to agree that Destruction + Open Wounds + Wrath kicks [Removed for Content]. That's a lot of crits. Never failes to impress even the warlock's in my guild. Try it.Ho

every once in a while, I also like to toss in my racial proc and a creature mastery to go with the above 3, you know.. to really phreak people out <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />
