<DIV><FONT color=#cccccc>Pardon the noobness, but I needed some opinions. It's just so hard to get this kind of info from charts and such. </FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#cccccc></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#cccccc>As you can see, I'm a monk, who's short on mit, but I'm not betraying to bruiser. I thought I would try a bruiser, but really only because of the wonderful mit buff they have that I lack. However, why screw around with a mit buff on leather when I can simply don plate? I keep hearing that zerker dps is higher than bruiser, but perhaps that's only true in the endgame, with Open Wounds maybe? You see, I need a twoboxable tank that can take a beating but also dish out brawler class dps. My monk is ok, but I wanted to toy around with one of these two mit heavier types. In neither case am I concerned about being smacked down, but can they both dish out the smackdown evenly?</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#cccccc></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#cccccc>Now I dont know what level range bruiser dps starts. With my monk, it was fairly early on, so prolly the same with a bruiser. Ive seen some T7 SK masters that smack for nearly 6K. That's significantly than my Fury, but I'm not interested in trying raise all 5 stats, which is what SK requires. So my question is when does a zerker dps start taking off? Up to L20, everyone can solo. After that, things become murky. I realize that ancient teachings and class definers may constitute the big change, but that's L50. If it's going to take that long to figure out I like zerking, I wont have the time to play with the class. When I say play, I really mean to a max of 40. After 40, it starts taking effort to level! /shudder</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#cccccc></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#cccccc>Thanks in advance everyone.</FONT></DIV>

<DIV>I've read on these forums before that a zerker does not really hit its prime until 50-55.  That is when you start to get all the DPS type CAs and really start kicking.  As someone that just came from 40 to 52, I can see what they are talking about.  I went from barely beating blue cons to owning yellow cons and some green heroics.  With the new AAs you can really tweak your Zerker to be a DPS machine, but you have to suffer through 50 levels first.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>However, if you really love the idea of being the MT in groups you have to pick some type of plate tank and the Zerker is the best IMO.</DIV>

<DIV><FONT color=#cccccc>TBH, I never was that fond of pure tanking. I have a bad memory. And as dumb as people think meatshields are, you actually have to remember locations of named, places you been, and avenues though dungeons, cause you're the one taking point. I was just thinking that I could go zerker to cheat with a plate tank and good dps</FONT> :smileyhappy:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#cccccc>Sounds like bruiser might be the way to go for me. Lord knows I love the mighty feign. And you are the second person to state that zerk dps doesnt kick in till T6. You see, I'll need dps because I'll be twoboxing him up through levels.</FONT></DIV>

The Fury got raid-retired in favor of the monk. The necro might see some alt raid time, hopefully.</FONT></DIV>
