<DIV>I'm sorry if this question has already been posted elsewhere but I could not find a specific thread.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I am currently boxing a Fury (lvl 46) and a Necro (lvl 45) which has been okay but I think I would prefer a duo that is a bit simpler to play (i.e. no pet to depend on) with some crowd control.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>My question :</DIV> <DIV>Is a Zerker a good duo and if so what other class? I'm considering a Zerker / Defiler or Zerker / Mystic duo....any thoughts?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Also would another class such as a Swashbuckler be a more sound choice over a Zerker? I wish to solo into the higher levels and I want two classes that are relatively stream-lined (i.e. both have definite roles and don't have big issues with position, pets, etc.).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I group on occasion and will likely join a guild at some point but I would like to be relatively self sufficient.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks for any input and sorry if this is a repost.</DIV>
<DIV>well, as a lvl 70 berserker in average maybe a little above average gear I can solo some level 70 ^^^. Sometimes depends on if I get lucky or not, but if I was boxing a healer also, I wouldn't have any problems taking a 70^^^. Dunno how well I would do against lvl 70 nameds, but I'd think I would at least have a chance. </DIV> <DIV>So, I think a berserker/healer combo would do pretty well.</DIV>

If you are going the healer route you may want to look at using a cleric (inquisitor or templar). Plate tanks are generally best coupled with clerics due to reactive heals, where shaman class is generally better with brawlers (monk, bruiser). However if a defiler or mystic is going to be more fun for you I would do that because the difference isn't that big.

I've boxed a berserker and warden together for over a year and they're a decent combo. I do miss the offensive buffs of a fury or the better buffs that non-druid healers have. The warden adds in decent dps with all M1 damage spells and wolf pet and their melee buff does enable me to be in defensive and keep a high weaponskill. Wardens have good roots that are occasionally helpful if you have adds. That being said, I've never really duoed *only* with a cleric or a shaman so I can't compare how much better they are. Certainly dps would be lower I'd think since the warden can pretty much chain cast damage spells if not healing. I do have trouble on some named mobs, such as Advisor in poa or the poa dragons, but part of that is I'm mostly high mitigation and low magic resists and their spells kill me. Dunno how much better another healer would be.<div></div>
