Help with Swords...

<DIV><FONT face="Comic Sans MS" size=4>Ok so I want a new sword. I went out and got me a Blade of Bixies..I love this graphic! However I wanted something with a higher Damage rating and such. I am 63 Zerk who is not able to do big or even regular raiding (my guild is six actives!). I have the best gear that money can buy but it seems woefully poor compared to others I have seen. All mastercrafted, with some items that you can purchase thrown in. I could go out and purchase a Doomrage Blade but just cant bring myself to do it yet. </FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face="Comic Sans MS" size=4></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT face="Comic Sans MS" size=4>There seems to be no way to search for legendary/fabled weapons on Ogaming or if there is I cannot seem to figure out how. I am willing to quest for it but again I would like to see some things and than examine the quest, make a decision and go from there. Basically what I am asking is..... Can anyone suggest some weapons and what quests give them if any? I would recommend Ancient Velium weapons, they drop in deathtoll, and like lvl ~67 requirement I think, but there are so many on broker you can get them fairly cheap and they are decent weapons.<div></div>

if you can raid or buy one if someone is selling one villucidae sword of shielding is a nice one.

 do you want 'only' a sword, or will any one hander do? I think it was HoF that i got some kinda mace thing in that i used for a long time till i got Vellium Warhammer, then Frostwrath from HOF. Its a good mace thing, counts as a hammer for the Wis AA line, and has a higher DR than the Bixie thing, but i think its the best regularly obtainable one hander i was able to find besides raid obtained stuff.

There is a sword or wardens well the name has warden in it and it has about 65 DR i bought it for 2 plat. Oh and as a bonus it has FT2 on it woot.

Doomrage blade that drops in HoF is a good one, also if your not looking for a sword keep an eye out for a Fist of Zek (mace that drops in nizara) or go there and bash the epic yourself lol. As mentioned before though the Ancient Velium stuff that drops in DT is pretty common and can be picked up for 2-6 plat generally

If your low on cash your best bet is to hit up instance zones with a group as often as you can.The doomrage blade drops a lot and usually really cheap on broker since there are so many.  Wouldn't recommend trying to camp out for this one, its only like 30-50 gold on my server.  I think its better than bixie blade but i haven't seen stats on bixie in a while.The mace the guy above was speaking of also drops a lot and usually fairly cheap for a solid weapon (65.3 dmg rating), but not a sword if thats what you really want.  Usually you can find one for under 2 pp on my server.As was said, ancient velium probably is your best bet but at 63 you are still too low to use it and may have trouble getting DT group going for that one.  To buy one they can range from 3p to 15p on my server, not sure how it is elsewhere.Theres also a decent sword that drops in SoS, scalesplitter maybe, i can't remember the name.  Thats more your level.  There aren't good options for quested swords though, none that i know of, but there are some good maces and rapiers you can quest for throuhg claymore line and grizzle quest. If i were you i would make a saved search on broker for 1H weapons legendary or fabled and check every time your in city for prices.  You never know what can be ought there you may get lucky.  In the meantime hit up all the zones you can and hope for a good drop, you need the xp anyways.  Good luck mate!<div></div>

I use the 2-hander Katana legendary from HoF (unless i can get the fabled to drop <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> ) it has haste on it and some great stats. The damage rating is a little low but made up for by the haste IMO

There also is a 1 handed whip that drops in Nek 3 off the named jailer.

Or the 2 handed Halbard from HoF even over that Katana from HoF (never saw the fabled Katana drop in all the times i and everyone i know have been there).</DIV>

I use Umbranis which is a 1h dagger.  It is the reward for finishing the 5th quest in teh Infiltrating the Sanctrum line.  The whole thing is group doable, especially if you got a regular group, which sounds lik you do.  The stats on it are:+25Sta +25Int1h Piercing1.6 Sec Delay68.8 dmg ratingSoul Channel:  Draing 200 power from target on activate (3min recharge).If you can get a velium weapon it will have like 71 dmg rating i think - not really worth it for the price imo, especially with low delay/crit on all of them.If you can get good plat, your best bet is buying a Cudgel of Pain, which is a common fabled drop which is tradeable (hence being able to buy it) and it is VERY good, but can be quite expensive.<div></div>

Was waiting to get a better 2-hander. Will look up both of those weapons.
