I just got my Bind Wound AA skill, and with more to come, I'm stuck undecided. I really want to be able to dish out DPS using DW axes (or whichever better weap I can get at whichever level).I heard some talk about using a hammer/sword and a buckler and that it's the only viable DPS option, but am I missing something here or can't Berzerkers be the offensive tank in the game? (hence why there is a Guardian class, which one would think takes more damage and deals less of it). If anyone could clear this up I'd appreciate it, thank you.<div></div>

Berserkers ARE an offensive tank but you won't really see much of that at 21. AAs merely add to our damage output. If you are interested in AAs for more damage, then refer to the many posts on this board include the one just a few lines down from this one:<a href="http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=4&message.id=24801" target=_blank>http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=4&message.id=24801</a><div></div>

thanks, that post does clarify some. I'd still welcome any more input more directly towards any DW Berserkers out there.<div></div>

<DIV>I'm a 44 zerker that primarily dual wields while soloing and I sport a sword and kite shield while grouping as a MT. I can tell you that AA is not really too important right now. I have 1 point in STR and that is it. Doesn't matter if I am in a group grinding EXP or by myself farming drops, I don't have any issues playing.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Look at AA's as your final leg of the race. Once you hit 70 and have a group of people that you play with all the time then you can adjust your AA to suit the situation. If you are going to be the MT all the time you might want to combo WIS (MIT), STR (Hate), and AGI (avoidance) for defense. If you end up with a group that already has a Guardian then you can go full DPS with STR (Crits), STA (2x atk), and INT/WIS (haste/DPS). It all depends on what type of player you see yourself at in the future.</DIV>

<div></div>thank you so much, <a href="../view_profile?user.id=92698" target="top"><span>tvieson</span></a>. That really explains a lot. I was kind of over worrying I guess, but it makes sense for AA to be an end game affair. I was just thinking, since I can earn them at 20 that I should be specializing down a line at 20 as well. But this actually sounds more appealing to know for now I can just keep going on until end game, when it makes more sense to be specc'd.Ok!<div></div>

i have to disagree wtih AA's being an end of game thing, if you can get enough AA's to put into a skill that will make you take down mobs faster, make you better MT or whatever than IMO you want to get these as soon as you can.what AA's you pick depends on what you want to do with the class you play, i rolled a zerker to be MT so i will pick the AA skill to make me a better tank as i get the points to do so while i lvl.<div></div>

that is true, but mainly what he was saying was that at my level, the AA isn't that important. I know that around 40-50 I will have a couple of the lines drilled in.<div></div>
