<DIV>I've never been to Nizara and was going to check it out the other day until this person in my group (someone in a raiding guild) told me that 1.) the pulls are tough to learn at first, and that most likely a tank with little experience in Nizara will cause the group to wipe alot as they are learning 2.) That I better have "all relic armor" that I don't have, basically that you need very good gear to tank Nizara.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>This person wasn't trying to be rude or anything, they were just basically trying to convey to me that it is a pretty hard place to tank.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>anyway, how hard is it to tank?  How hard are these pulls, and what kind of gear do I need to tank it / resist, etc.?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I just hit 70 recently and my gear is getting better every day from drops, quests etc. but I by no means have uber gear yet.</DIV>

<DIV><FONT face="Comic Sans MS">I have been to Nizara approximately three times, and honestly i have to say it is one of the most challenging zones I have been in. There is absouletly no forgiveness if you make a bad pull. My gear is Fabled to legendary and I would say more fabled than legendary. My mitigation self-buffed is about 5400 which is not bad (would like to see it get higher). </FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face="Comic Sans MS"></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT face="Comic Sans MS">I would say any tank that does not have his mitigation buffed at least 6k will have a hard time completing the zone. I would also say you will need a very good group of players to complete this. I don't believe a majority of pick up groups could complete this zone.  I for one have not completed this zone but expect to be able to complete it soon. </FONT></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Tarek </DIV> <DIV>70 Berzerker </DIV> <DIV>Nektulos </DIV> <DIV><FONT face="Comic Sans MS"></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT face="Comic Sans MS"></FONT> </DIV>

<DIV>Very tough zone, I have been 4 times and cleared the zone twice. The first 2 times was learning the zone.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Our group setup the 2 wins was like this:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Dirge</DIV> <DIV>Defiler</DIV> <DIV>Swashy/Brig</DIV> <DIV>Templar/Inquis</DIV> <DIV>Illusionist</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>You well need 2 healers, and you well need a mezzer, your group all on Ventrilo or TS helps.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Things that killed us: knockbacks, bad pulls (that was me), bad mob pathing and video bugs ( I dont see any........oh jeez), LD's (I never go LD, this is the only zone that well boot me) Mobs well taunt you and make you break mezz.</DIV> <DIV>After saying all that, it's a fun zone....loot is so so, lucky if you see 1 master per trip. Did get some nice legendary mage and healer items.</DIV> <DIV>As for gear, mine is all relic and raid fabled well over 80% mit in group. With a bit of relic and your claymore rewards you should be able to tank most if not all this zone. Find yourself a good strat on named encounters and you can greatly limit the damage you well take.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<P>Well then it would appear that I am definitely not quiite ready gear wise to tank Nizara.  Thanks for the input.</P> <P> </P> <P>How about Nek 3.0, how hard is that compared to Nizara?</P> <P> </P> <P> </P>

<DIV>Nek 3 is a joke. THe zone is really easy the mobs that hit the hardest are the stupid crate monsters when you go down the stairs.  That is the only time in the zone I switched out of offensive stance with my 2 hander and went defensive stance.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>THey x2 golem wasn't even hitting me.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>SO long as you have a decent group and a healer who is actually only semi afk you should be able to clear it no problem.  Also here is a hint only a few mobs in the entire zone see invis so bring a group inviser and you can run through the zone kill the 3 mobs and the x2 in like 15-20 minutes</DIV>

Sadly, Nek 3 is a joke. A really bad one. The zone is cake, although like someone said the crates have a special attack that does 35% of your max health...not your current health but your MAX health. And the loot is horrendous too. If I remember right, there is only three mobs that drop loot, the golem (who isn't even gaurenteed to be named and have any loot), the Jail keeper guy, and the last grp of named guys. Waste of time really, kinda sad that they would talk this zone up for so long, then make it such crap.<div></div>

<P><FONT color=#00cc99>Nizara I've taken 4 or 5 bosses with one healer, and no enchanter (Troubadour instead) and my gear isn't anywhere near the level described as "required." No dirge or paladin either. Just Berserker/Fury/Troubadour/Warlock/Monk/Swashie. Granted, it isn't a full clear, but Qeynos side on Venekor (PVP) there is maybe one Illusionist, one or two templars, and one or two mystics at high end, across the entire faction. Clearing that many bosses with one healer and half a crowd control class isn't bad at all.</FONT></P> <P><FONT color=#00cc99>Nek3 I cleared on my first try with the exact same party as listed above except swap monk for ranger. The only difficult encounters were the crates, and the few times that I got more than 8-10 books on me in the library. I run self-buffed at 60% mit (~4500) and 50-53% avoidance, but I do have 20-22 M1s. Raiding is just starting to be possible in T7 for our side, so have to do it with gear that is groupable.</FONT></P>
