Lvl 23 Zerker ... gear?

It depends what you're fighting.There are Armour Quests for your level. If in Qeynos, see Ian Cathlan (sp?) in QH. You get six quests, one per armour piece.If you're fighting tougher content for your level, harvest rocks in TS that give ore and try to find rares (steel). These can be sold (for 30-50g on my server) or made into armour or weapons. Go for chest and leg steel if you can, and a nice steel weapon (2h, or 1h + shield). Harvest wood to get a wood rare for a nice tower shield. Armourers and woodworkers should charge 5-10g tops to make the items from the rares.This applies to any (plate) tank class <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

<div></div><div></div>Sort of depends on how fast you level and how much money you have. Sadly most quest items are lower level than what it would take to complete the quest on your own. If you look on the brokers you can find some good deals on equipment. The main thing I look for in equipment is mitigation. What I'm noticing is that there are a few treasured items that will bring you close to the baseline mitigation for the next tier that are in the 19-23 range. In the treasured items, I was able to get a set of leggings with 150 mitigation for a few gold off the broker. I don't remember the exact stats since I just sold it this morning. Just checked eq2players, it's called ashland kneespikes(leggings). I think laensteel vanguards (feet) are also treasured with good mitigation for this tier. Won't break your bank buying it. Gauntlets of Storm are also good for the mitigation, should be able to get these cheap as well. Legendary gear are also a good option as they can be cheap, Pain forged manacles are above average for this tier I think I picked it up for about 12 gold. There was also a shoulder piece but I never picked it up because it was rather expensive. There's a few pieces of fabled gear that can be floating around. These are roughly equivalent to the mastercrafted of the next tier in mitigation. I remember seeing a head piece and two different leg pieces (lv 20 & 21). Ceremonial vanguard cuirass is also available at 21. While these are more expensive pieces, they do carry you into the next tier so it's like buying for the next upgrade at your current level. Of course the prices vary a lot for these but sometimes you can find them for a good deal. edit: this is the path I took, the mastercrafted gear while much better in stats also cost the price of all the pieces of armor that I would wear going this way (treasured + legendary). I wil speak up in support of AQ's. You get great xp, meet people you normally won't who are doing AQ's too, and you will see areas you may not see on most other occasions....plus the armor is pretty decent and free. That being said, the armor descriptions from the 2 posts above mine are excellent.....great job with those details fer this ladd.:smileywink:

Mantle of the darkpriest is the shoulder gear I was referring to earlier. It's got 157 mitigation, wearable at L21, stats aren't really geared for berserkers though, 10wis 8int, 20pow and +100 vs divine. In comparison, mastercrafted pristine forged steel vanguard spaulders 5 str, 5 agi, 5 sta +20 health/power, mitigation 151 price on my server is 40gp+ The mantle of the darkpriest ~10gp might be able to bargain them lower if you're lucky <div></div>
