<DIV>My wife and I play and would like to make the best team.  I play a zerker.  She plays a dirge atm, but we were tossing around the idea of a better partner for the zerker that she might consider playing.   She inquired about the Templar, and has a fury.  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So we were looking for opinions.   We do fine now, but wonder if we may be missing something in another combo.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks for the advice.</DIV>

<div></div>I used to love to duo and would duo just to see how good we would do, as certain classes. If she has a Fury, I would say go with it and have her go full offensive. She'll still have good healing and be able to dish out as much DMG as you alot of times.Fury is what I would choose to come with me, if I had to duo something that would be a close call. I would skip Templar for the duo idea no matter what though, might be just as good... but it'll take twice as long.EDIT: Wow, how's that first line for making sense, eh? Fury would be good, flexible healing and dps.Consider also paladin. The warding and healing can be enough for a lot of content. I'm very happy when off-tank to our guild zerker, it works very well. By looking at how zerkers (and guards) gain hate, I've also learnt to spot heal rather than ward where possible to let the zerker get more reactive hate from their hate proc skill. Thus a fury would be imo a better choice than a shaman.

I duo with my SO, our mains our Zerker/Fury now in the low 60's.We also play lots of alts. Probably the most effective in terms of the kind of content available for you would be the zerker/fury combo:1) Social aggro. This duo can handle multiple groups in most cases without issue should something go awry2) We can complete orange solo quests are blue/white heroic quests. Our mainstay is duoing group instances with mobs even to -1. Some mobs of course are harder than others. Also while it is possible to take on a couple non-named yellow heroics at once it's not very much fun <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> Fights take too long.3) Fury gets group stealth. Even with the see invis mobs this has been easily a huge time saver for us. I'd hate to imagine trying to slog our way past some of the stuff we just sneak by <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />We both tend to go damage for our characters; I've specced the stamina line but stay in defensive stance virtually all the time. I still do enough damage, and she has plenty of power to do her 'druid nukes' while her HoTs keep me up. You may not kill AS fast as some pairs but you can probably handle more than most other duo combos.   <div></div>

<DIV><FONT color=#00cc99>Fury without a doubt. No other tank is going to be able to hold hate off of a good Fury. I duo all the time with a Fury friend of mine and we're a two-man army. Fury buffs (such as their zerk and thorns) work amazingly well on a Berserker, and often let me reach 100% haste/dps, letting me hit mobs for over 800 damage with a one-hander. 5 heroic blue encounters? No problem, that's a typical pull. Between the two of us we generate 1300-1700 DPS a fight on average. Add to that the fact we've got group invisibility, and the only thing we're missing is track.</FONT></DIV>

I completely agree.  I play a zerker and my fiance plays a fury and we do very well together.  It's a great combination for a duo.

In a duo any healer will do. I'm finding that the main limiting issue is how much damage the berserker takes, how fast the healer can recover from that damage, and how fast you can put down the mob. The key difference comes when fighting ^^^ yellows, they do a lot of damage to the berserker over time and they take less damage. For groups this is fine since they have other group members to do damage, but in a duo there's just the berserker and maybe the healer but most likely they'll be so busy trying to heal their dps won't make a difference. <div></div>
