I just got back to playing EQ2 again after being absent for at least a year. I noticed they made changes to the way mobs react socially as even if they aren't in the same group they will chain-aggro if they are close enough. While in Blackburrow on my new berserker last night I was pulling from an assortment of rooms, most of which I couldn't get less than three groups of heroics. Is there a special way I should be pulling now or is it impossible to pull these guys separately? Thanks.

Bodypulling is the way to go for most things now. if your unfamiliar with the term, that means getting just close enough that you get into the one mob you intend to fights agro range, then running back and taunting when its safely away from its friends, and you have just the one mob/encounter. Thats it in a nutshell.

Yap bodypulling is the way to go by now, just don't forget to NOT use any form of Damageshield or spell or whatever until they are out of their friends range.

Ya I thought I heard something about bodypulling working. I tried that last night as well but it could very well have been a damage return or something that aggroed the other mobs. Thanks for the information. :smileyhappy:

proximity pulling is maybe the more correct term for the whole issue but body pulling is such an old and wide used term for this sort of pulling even if its not realy correct

Message Edited by pashtuk on 07-14-2006 08:39 AM
