<DIV>I'm a fairly new Zerker, played EQ 1 for a bit, then went to SWG. I've just got lvl 34, I've researched some stuff, equpment, skills, stuff like that. Not saying I am, but if I was, trying to become the best Zerker ever, what do I need to do. I know this is totally noobish, but I just want some tips or something, anything that will help, Thanks. </DIV>

<P>First of all you'll need good armor. The common crafted stuff doesn't give enough mitigation anymore. Having rare crafted armor will give you a big boost in being able to survive. Rare crafted weapons and heritage quests weapons will help crank out the damage. </P> <P>Most people seem to be saying to go at least 4/4/8 in the Stamina AA line to get the 76% your autoattack will be a double attack.</P> <P>Upgrade your combat arts as much as you can afford. Try to get your big damage attacks all adept3, or master 1 or 2.</P> <P>When you get a chance to upgrade stats go for STR, STA, and WIS. STR give you the ability to carry more loot, increases your damage, and I think determines the size of your power pool. STA governs how much health you have. WIS is important because it increases your resists. Magic attacks (cold, heat, divine, etc.) go against your resists not mitigation so the higher your resists the better.</P>

<DIV>Really an impossible question to answer. Depends on what you want to do in the game, and what your definition of "best" is. Some zerkers have spec'd themselves to be great dps (offensive), while others are great raid tanks (defensive). Some may be the good group tanks, some may be the best raid tanks, some may be great solo'ers, some may be really helpful to others with thier knowledge and wanting to help out guildies/friends. Some may like to only raid, to obtain the best gear and battle the biggest mobs, while others may be the best at what they do, which doesn't include raiding. In my opinion, the best zerker is, and in this order of priority:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>1. One who knows everything about their character and about the game. Example: they know all the spells (combat abilities) and when to do what during the battle. Timing is everything. Every battle isn't the same, you can't just cycle through the same spells every time. They also know all the zones, and what's hiding around every corner. They are a great leader, and help out their guildies as often as possible to get through the zones, and also to continue quests.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>2. The have all thier spells upgraded to master 1, and have managed to obtain all the best fabled gear. They even have atleast 2 sets of back up gear (including jewelry), so that they can set up offensive or defensive or even to switch out a couple pieces because they may be at cap in some stats dependig on the group make up - being versatile.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>As far as picking what abilities in your AA's, there's no right or wrong answer. If you've decided defensive, then pick mitigation, defense, parry, maybe even hate gain. If offensive, then there are lots more options. If balanced, a little of both, but you can't pick them all.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>And as I said, this is my opinion. A person could have everything listed in #1 and #2, and was able to max every single AA, and still may not be "the best" at everything. There's random things in the game that could prevent "the best" at being "the best" every time.</DIV>

<DIV>Thank both of you for your responses. Well, I want to be good at both to be honest, I want to be an assest, do the big Raids, but if someone already has a tank, like a Gaurdian, I want to be able to cause enough damage to matter, you know. I'm level 37 as of this morning, and I have't got into my AA's yet. But my biggest thing, because both of yalls answers was obvious answers, and is stuff anyone that knows a tank class should know, is what are some tips on how to get those armors, what paths I should take now, so as not to be messed up later? That kind of information. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Also, I'm on Unrest, and I'm looking for that good stuff like armor, and weapons, I look on the broker, I pretty much have the best stuff for my level within reason. You have to consider, I don't have a bunch of plat, I broke 2 plat for the first time this morning. I have everything at least adept 1, two or three things master 1 or 2, and 3 things adept 3. I'm doing pretty good on my skills. The part I'm lacking in is my armor. I've seen gaurdians and other zerkers that have 300 or 400 more mitigation that I do, but none come close to my str. A friend gave me some jewlrey that has + 6 to str/sta/agi. My resist aren't that high either, which is ok right now, but that needs to change. Where do I need to go to find the better equipment, or who do I need to talk to?</DIV> <DIV>Thanks</DIV><p>Message Edited by krazyray50 on <span class=date_text>06-29-2006</span> <span class=time_text>09:27 PM</span>
