<DIV>Hello to all my new Zerker brothers and sisters.  I finished the betrayal quest over the weekend and am now a full fledged Zerker.  Until LU24 and the new betrayal hit my guardian had been sitting for so long that the only AA point he had was Bind Wound (which I seriously love btw).  I'm trying to decide which way to take with my AAs and could use some advice.  I tend to solo a lot...as much as 70% of the time.  That was a big part in my decision to become a berserker.  The rest of the time I small group and even while grouping I'm only MT about half the time.  I'm looking for an AA setup that will help me max my dps.  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I asked the same question over in the guardian forum and it seems like a lot of them are doing the stamina line.  I have a few concerns about that line tho'.  Does the 76% chance for your autoattack to be doubled plus whatever you get from buckler reversal really outweigh the need to only be able to equip a buckler and 1-hander?  Several of the guards recommended going with 4/8/8 in the stamina line.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I had thought of going with a 4/4/8 setup in AGI, WIS, and INT.  That would give me +dps, attack speed haste, and I think a 40% chance for my autoattack to be AoE.  Would going with the STA line really out weigh this setup and give more dps?  Also how do you feel about the loss of protection of having a buckler vs. a tower shield?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks in advance for any response.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Edited for spelling.</DIV><p>Message Edited by Storm_Runner on <span class=date_text>06-19-2006</span> <span class=time_text>04:51 AM</span>

<DIV>stamina line is the best offense.  You get a great dps boost out of that line.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So i would go for strenght(4-4-<img src="/smilies/b2eb59423fbf5fa39342041237025880.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> (just love those crits) and stamina and you will have some points left to maybe try the dpsboost of 19.2% in the wisdom-line...</DIV>

I would say 4-4-8-8 stam then drop another 4 points into bucker reversal, that will give you massive reversal hits, 75% double attack and 5% 360 avoidance, the go 4-4-8-8 in agility. you will have some left over, but basicly thats 75% double attack, like 8-10% 360 avoidance add 25% chance to attack more then one enemys an extra pbaoe etc. <div></div>

<DIV>I've had my 50 points for awhile, and have respeced a few times, and have tried every line and option there is.  If you are soloing, grouping, or doing anything but raid MT...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Stamina 4-8-8-8  (buckler reversal, 76% chance double attack, and 360° avoidance)</DIV> <DIV>Wisdom 4-4-4-8  (mitigation, and a little DPS)</DIV> <DIV>(and 1 more point for anywhere)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>and this is even true after they have nerfed the best bucklers in the game.  I really liked the buckler reversal and 76% chance of double attack, because I didn't have to push any buttons for these abilities.  They are passive and always on.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Of course this is all my opinion.  These options are for everyone individually, and there's no right or wrong answer.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I wouldn't suggest getting any more DPS or haste through the AA's, because we already have a self and group zerk buff that kinda stack and gives both haste and dps.  I say "kinda" stack because either one can proc at any time, but both can't be on you at the same time.  Plus you can get gear with haste on it.  Plus there are several classes that can give you haste and DPS buffs when in a group (I know you said you don't group much).  Plus we do more damage with our CA's than with auto attack any way (haste and dps only affects auto attack).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I've been raid MT'ing so I went:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Wisdom 4-4-5-8-8  (mitigation, removal of offensive and defensive stance penalties to help with aggro)</DIV> <DIV>Intelligence 4-4-4-8  (parry)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I went for the parry in the intelligence line over the defense in agility because my defense is sitting right at cap with all the +defensive items I have.  Plus we have a short term defensive buff (Suppressed Rage at master is +33 defense).  So I'm always at or way over cap on defense, so the extra parry is useful.  And I did this knowing that I'm kinda wasting alot of points to get it...first three steps give me intelligence (about worthless), and haste (100% alot of the time already, and only useful for auto attack).  I would've also considered the strength line for the hate and crits, but haven't had a problem with aggro.  If I had a problem, for whatever reason - whether it was because my master spells weren't doing the job, or my regular raiders didn't know how to control their aggro, then there would be no question about it.</DIV> <P><SPAN class=time_text></SPAN> </P><p>Message Edited by FightGame on <span class=date_text>06-19-2006</span> <span class=time_text>04:56 PM</span>

Too true ive been looking at wisdom for along time for a accent to Stamina, and on a pvp server anything but stamina 4-8-8-8 is fodder. <div></div>

like everyone's been saying you want to pump out the dps, you gotstr 4/8/8sta 4/8/8/8the dps is really off the charts with that, just get a pretty big 1hander, heck even pris2 did loads of dmg and it's 59dr? To be in heaven, find some axe 1hander, and you'd never really have to swap out a weapon(to initiate the extra crit aa from str line).Oh and since it's solo, i guess an imbued ebony buckler would be good too, i mean most all shields now have scrappy 300-500 protection anyway, at least get a proc on it, heh.<div></div>

I dont like bucklers and use a 2h sword in off stance most of the time. So i specced str 4/4/8 wis 4/4/7/5/8 int 4/1 i checked some other setups as well, but i like this one best. it gives you good dps and good defense. and you can swap to board and def stance if it gets tough (or to use belly smash<img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />
