Fighting Heroics

<div>I just hit lvl 31, and before I could solo heroic named mobs in SH with my sword of thunder+shield pretty easily. Now that I've dinged past lvl 31 and baught my new 2H, i'm having some trouble soloing heroics/names.</div><div>Should I use a 2H or 1H+shield when fighting heroics/named mobs.</div><div> </div><div>thx</div><div> </div>

I've a lvl 33 zerker and I've always found a shield+1h wpn to work best against heroics (^^^) mobs. I think its because it takes so long to kill them because of their increased hit points that you need to protect against more damage. I use dual wield on everything but heroics so I can keep two weapon skills maxed out and it looks cooler for me. Note that I don't have any rare/fabled gear so twinked out PC's will probably claim they kill heroics with a can opener <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />.Traktor<div></div>

<div>Depends entirely on what stat line your going with, what gear, and playign style.</div><div> </div><div>I have Adept 3 at least on all my spells, with around 8 masters, some fabled gear, and pristine imbued rares on my armour. I generally can solo heroics 3-4 lvl's below me, i find it easier with a good 2 hander.. butat some levels, you can find fabled 1 handed swords which have massive damage output, like the Blade of Bixies, which has the same dmg output as a pristine imbued cobalt greatsword... except i get to use a shield with the bixie blade <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></div><div> </div><div>All in all... ALWAYS get your defensive stance in adept 3, that helps greatly <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></div>
