Think u meant one of those to be PvE.

I cant really comment on PvP since I play on a PvE server, but mob-wise we do really nicely. I can easily take regualr mobs 1-3 lvls over me. Heroics arent a big problem either. I can solo ^^^ heroics 5-6 lvls under me and named 6-7 lvls. I find that we do better against caster mobs since we have so many interupt spells.

As for tanks, yes we are great. IMO we are better then monks and with decent gear we can tank raid mobs with little effort. Guardians are still the #1 tank in my book, but we can do it really well.

hope that answers your question

~Skizi

Yes, that's excellent.I'm still curious how zerker does in 1v1 and group pvp. Also, How gear dependant is the zerker? I heard eq2 overall isnt terribly gear dependant

57 Berserker on Venekor, Qeynos side here,

In my experience I would say Berserker solos quite poorly in PVE. This is in comparison to my 60 SK. However, we still do better than some classes (bards, clerics, shamans typically) so we are not the worst. We definitely don't compare to many other classes solo though, and you can expect to die a lot from accidental aggro, etc.

In PVP I do quite well for myself solo. It is just absolutely necessary that you pay attention and don't just mash keys, use the right abilities at the right times, and I can not stress this enough, but a good longbow is your #1 strength in PVP. I tend to flatten a good number of casters (particularly sorcerers, poor guys' casting time vs our taunt), do so-so with fighters, (losing to bruisers and sks, but beating other berserkers and guardians) and scouts vary a good bit (most of the time they get away if things are going bad,) but I tend to do well against them, for the brief time the fights last. Healers are usually quite the problem, as I simply lack significant burst damage to take them down, and outlasting them isn't an option typically, so they simply patiently survive and finish me if they can (not easy for them.) Solo PVP with a Berserker I find to be somewhat unfulfilling, if the enemy gets the drop on you (which is often, given scout stealth and mage invis) you are often very disadvantaged, and in very very bad shape, starting the fight at half-health can occur if you eat an ice comet or assassinate. Typically you only start on even footing (both of you aware of each other) with other fighters and healers, and crusaders/brawlers tend to better us in a solo fight, while healers aren't really threatened by our lack of burst DPS. It is very rare that you'll enter a fight advantageously as a berserker, so be prepared to fight from bad odds, or simply be killed often. Survival tactics over kill tactics become key.

In group PVP and PVE I feel like I contribute a lot. Especially in comparison to my SK, who felt very selfish, only being able to self-heal, and having poor group buffs. I imagine though that if I had my SK in PVP I would feel amazing solo, but a lot less useful in a group (especially not being able to attack at range moving.)

If you're looking for a fighter class that is good at fighting in PVE and PVP solo I wouldn't suggest berserker, they shine more in groups than the other fighters in my opinion, but do significantly worse in solo situations as a tradeoff.

Dimglow is right on the money. Soloing PVP is a bad idea with a berserker unless you REALLY pay attention and get fairly lucky. Even then, soloing against a similar level NEC or a SK with harm touch up... you're better off running.

I'll only make a comment on PvE. Depending on whether you are into soloing single or group mobs. Against a group of 4++ mobs, berserker can mow them down faster than any of the other 5 other tanks. Berserker damage are primarily AE based just like a warlock. Against single target, the AE combat art will be kind of wasted. However, when going up against 4++mobs, you can truely see the potential of those AE combat arts. Furthermore those stun/knockdown on the AE combat arts are wonderful against caster and healer mobs. From soloing both a berserker and necromancer, I'd say berserker solo very well in PvE against non-heroic mobs. I've no idea why soloing 3-4 yellow con(non heroic) 2 levels higher can be classified as poor in soloing.
