<div></div><div>While using duel-wield with one weapon being the type needed to use belly smash and the other a piercing weapon I have found that belly smash will not work most of the time, furthermore on some mobs it will not work at all. How about fixing this spell so we can actually use it. Better yet make warrior AA spells not require specific types of weapons and give us the freedom of using whichever weapon we want.</div><p>Message Edited by Kinotro on <span class="date_text">03-28-2006</span><span class="time_text">10:48 AM</span></p>

<div></div>I do not know if you know this but resarch whats up, Belly smash in order to work needs the mob already be stunned to use it, and that make sure the mace hammer or clubbing weapon is in the primary hand not the secondary. Also so you know every other class has a line to give something up and all the other lines usually need a certain weapon not just warriors, enjoy!

I haven't tried using the ability with a DW set personally but it seems to work fine for me when I am using my 1h mace and a sheild combination.  And you have to remember that the ability will only work if the mob has been recently <u><b>knocked down</b></u>, not just stunned.  By using a DW set you will not have the ability to use your sheild bash CA which includes a knockdown and the only other ability we have that will knock down a target is our AOE attack in the Whirl line (T7 version being Bloodbath).  So then you will have much less of a chance to use this ability at all with a DW set especially when soloing.<div></div>

<div></div><p>This ability works fine with a duel wield set up.</p><p>Make sure the mob has been knocked down, just because you cast a knock-down does not mean the mob was acually knocked down, it could have blocked, parried, etc.. I have had times when I could not get Belly Smash to work on one mob in a group and switched to another and landed it.</p><p>Also make sure that your "hammer" is in your main hand and not the off hand.</p>

It works perfect. To apply belly smash you (or one of your group) must KNOCKDOWN the mob first (using the aoe knockback or shield smash spell i use mostly)I use this spell constantly.. it works fine<div></div>

blood bath is 30sec recast, so is belly smash, just combo it, bloodbath(wait the long5sec casting) then bellysmash. as a side note devastating press is also 30sec too so you don't have to have a shield all the time, and i've knocked down what seems like 99% of all mobs i wanted to with bloodbath, so shouldn't be a problem(unless they prolly orange and resist).<div></div>

<div></div><p>I love this art, I looted one of those Awakened battlewind something or other maces that proc a heal on a successful attack. It's a 2h mace that I use for soloing (I used Rhaotep's and a shield for tanking). Rather than using the shield bash I just use assult and the belly smash. Assault has a pretty fast refresh. The ability works fine.</p><p>I also have hotkeyed most of my favorite weapons and do a lot of switching out during battles. It works good to star with your shield and mace onj, do your knock down, belly smash, and then switch to you 2h.</p><p> </p>

<div>and you don't have to be he one to knock them down...anyone can knock them down, then you can use the ability, so keep your eyes open.</div>

<div></div>This is also true, which makes it really useful when a guard is tanking. As near as i can tell too, you don't have to use it immediately after a knockdown. I don't know how long the timer is, but it's a decent amount of time.

<div>yup, I usually will knock them down, and do a couple other CA's, then use the belly smash.</div><div>Space out your stuns / interupts / knockdowns as much as possible.  For example If I use slay, which knocks them down for 7 seconds, and use abilities during this 7 seconds that do not knock them down again, they will stay down for the entire 7 seconds.  If I use slay, then immediately use the shield bash (or whatever it's called now), as soon as they get up from that, they are no longer down from the slay, and start fighting me.  We have like 5 or more abilities that stun, knockback, or interupts.  Don't use them all back to back for best results.</div>
