Greetings, I am looking for pictures of the new sets of armors (heavy armor tier 7, adamantite and the rare one, xenobyte). If anyone could post screenshots or direct me to a post, that will be appreciated. I know there are 2 models (plate and vanguard) I would like to see how it looks, what are the differences and colors? Thank you much.<div></div>

Sorry but I haven't seen anyone wearing any of the new T7 common crafted armor at all. And if I did I would laugh at them because it is so pitifully crappy. I have seen a few people in the xegonite and it is a light baby-blue color. FYI it has good stats but no resists and it has one point less mitigation than cobalt. Not worth it IMO.<div></div>

I never had a problem with it not having resists. The extra stats were very nice and added about 10% avoidance, more health, and lots of strength (I see you laughing infernus, /rude! <span>:smileywink:</span>). With LU#21, xegonite changed. The mitigation is the same as before the patch (1 less than legendary cobalt), but the stats have been slightly reduced. The +slash/crush/pierce has been removed, the +1 defense has remained, and 4 resists have been added to each piece. The item database at eq2players already reflects the new change.I'd never touch the common crafted T7 either.</span></span></div><p>Message Edited by uux on <span class="date_text">03-23-2006</span><span class="time_text">08:19 PM</span></p>

Sorry but I am a big resist hoe even for just single-group content. I get lots of compliments on my ability to take damage and I would like to keep it that way <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />Besides it's not just the lack of resists that bother me, the mitigation sucks too. And there is a lot of nice T7 legendary armor that drops from names and some quested stuff too that has nice stats, mitigation, and resists all at the same time. Take the Awakened Scalelord stuff that drops from the dragons in PoA and the boots that drop from Solthis in HoF and the class helm from the Hoo'loh quest. All 10x better than xegonite if you ask me. So to me it seems rather pointless to even bother with it. Most T6 fabled is better than it too IMO. Heck I wouldn't even trade cobalt for it but that's just me. To each their own. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /><div></div>
<font face="Courier New"><font face="Arial">The lack of resists really didn't increase the amount of damage I took on a normal basis (pointing out I'm not a raid tank). If a mob did land a special attack, yeah, it hit hard. It was easily healed however. After LU#21, xegonite appears to be a more viable upgrade to cobalt than before. Xegonite can be easily harvested while you're out there looking for spongy loam. Not everyone is paying a fortune for xegonite. The Scalelord drops are very good, so are the rewards from the missing claymore series. No doubt xegonite isn't top tier gear. Here's how the latest xegonite vanguard breaks down in comparison to cobalt. People can judge for themselves whether or not it is useful to them.</font>Pristine Imbued/Forged Xegonite Vanguard Head Chest Shoul Arms Hands Legs Feet TotalHealth 50 50 50 50 50 50 50 350Power 50 50 50 50 50 50 50 350Agility 16 16 16 16 16 16 16 112Intelligence 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0Stamina 15 15 15 15 15 15 15 105Strength 16 16 16 16 16 16 16 112Wisdom 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0Cold 134 0 0 134 268 0 268 804Disease 0 268 134 268 0 134 0 804Divine 0 134 268 0 134 268 0 804Heat 134 0 0 134 268 0 268 804Magic 268 134 0 0 0 268 134 804Mental 268 0 268 0 134 0 134 804Poison 0 268 134 268 0 134 0 804Defense 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 7Mitigation 375 402 375 375 375 402 375 2679Pristine Imbued/Forged Cobalt Vanguard Head Chest Shoul Arms Hands Legs Feet TotalHealth 34 34 34 34 34 34 34 238Power 34 34 34 34 34 34 34 238Agility 0 14 0 0 14 0 14 42Intelligence 14 0 0 14 0 14 0 42Stamina 0 0 14 0 0 0 14 28Strength 0 14 0 14 0 14 0 42Wisdom 14 0 14 0 14 0 0 42Cold 0 0 300 0 0 300 0 600Disease 0 300 0 0 300 0 0 600Divine 300 0 0 300 0 0 0 600Heat 0 0 300 0 300 0 0 600Magic 0 300 0 0 0 0 300 600Mental 300 0 0 0 0 0 300 600Poison 0 0 0 300 0 300 0 600Defense 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0Mitigation 376 403 376 376 376 403 376 2686</font><div></div>

Aww thank you, it seems its baby blue. Why SOE always choose some crappy color? With something black everyone will be happy and it's pretty simple... Anyway, I will look over the stats before getting a set. I like cobalt more but with the level the migitation go down since its a level 50 armor. What is the difference between plate and vanguard set?<div></div>

<div></div><div></div>Oh so they added some resists on it then? Cool! Looks like the stats went down a bit though, right? The color still stucks too. <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /><i>"Why SOE always choose some crappy color? I have no idea if they will use a different model or just change the color. The adamantine vendor trash that hit the NPC merchants uses a different model. If you're happy with cobalt, then don't change it. Mitigation is supposed to be mitigation no matter what level the armor is. As you level, more armor with better stats and resistances will become available to replace your cobalt. Keep in mind that they are going to downgrade cobalt. There was a statement from a developer that the current cobalt would not change, just future made cobalt (no idea if they'd really do this). Cobalt will have lesser mitigation, become treasured, and have lesser stats and resists. I haven't seen any timeframe on them implementing this. You'll probably have better dropped/quested gear by the time it actually happens.<blockquote>What is the difference between plate and vanguard set?</blockquote>Plate has different stats and uses a different model and color. Rather than +str/sta/agi/defense like vanguard, it has +wis/int/sta/ministration (appears to be for clerics). There is also a devout set with +str/sta/int/disruption (appears to be for crusaders).</span></div>
