ello peeps <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />my zerker is now upto lvl 25, (ive recently returned to eq2, last time i played an assassin)what i was wondering is if anyone can point me in the right direction for some handy guides or hints/tips to the best way to lvl & equip my zerker.I have (i think) reasonable gear for my lvl, a cple of bits need attention but its mostly average i suppose compared to others 'more' in the know.Which gear should i be looking to find, quest for? which weapons do you all suggest? Is it worth going two handed, duel wield or shield/one hand routes?forgive my ignorance, but im just starting to find my feet as a zerker, and any help would be a bonus <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> and much appreciated.anything of help, no matter how seemingly insignificant would help <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />thanks a lot <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />btw, which potions do you all use to bolster your stats/protections ?thanks <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /><div></div>

<div>"Is it worth going two handed, duel wield or shield/one hand routes?"</div><div> </div><div>Sword and board imo is a must for you to carry for when you are called upon to be main tank in a group setting(your healer will thank you for it!)</div><div> </div><div>I prefer dual wield over 2h for solo play... I get stats from 2 weapons as opposed to 1 plus ive used both and just like DW better.</div>

<div>Well the first question is how hardcore/often do you intend to play your zerker.  I have a 34 one myself, and my goal is to MT whatever group I'm in.  That means a full set of at least legendary for that tier, or dropped of course, a decent one hander and the best tower shield I can get my hands on.  In instances where I solo, or am not the MT of the group, I use the SBH as my wep for a little extra damage.  Obviously adept III/master arts aren't a bad idea either.</div>

<div></div>just start working on your haritage quests, you will get some nice weapons along the way. 1H and shield is always good when MTing and you can see the healer is having a hard time keeping up, 2H and dual weild are both good for DPS, it just depends on what you can get your hands on i guess

<div></div>cool. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />im playing my zerker all the time. I've been doing my heritage quests as and when i can.I play  as part of a group mostly, 7 of us came from swg, and have joined a guild, but we tend to group together unless there is a guild event on. I am classed in our group as MT, and we use a friend (a monk) as off tank if required. we are low on healers(1 x fury) in our group, altho we can always call on guildies for healing, but we find with the dps we can output with the swashies and the ranger we have we can down pretty much anything without too much hassle(this may change once we get into higher lvl zones)I've got a reasonable tower shield for my lvl, and some reasonable one hand weapons, plus one or two nice two handed weapons.I'm also building up my adepts/masters as and when i can find them.any other help would be cool, ive been trawling the resource sites for quest lists, to see which quests/places are good for more or better gear. My main struggle at the moment is finding some decent dual wield weapons for me. Question is, is there a damage type that would yield greater damage? or is the damage done by piercing/slashing/crushing mostly generic? or will i see a gain from a diff. damage type(im guessing its the same for all types).are there any particular crafted pieces i should be looking out for? be it weapons/armour/trinkets etc.i'm also starting to try and stack strength/stamina and agility on my gear... is this the best route ?another question is, are there any specific salves or potions i should be keeping an eye out for?i'm trying to glean as  much info as poss, i intend to play my zerker to end game & beyond so i wish to give as much care and attention to my zerker as poss.i've also found that so far out of all the classes ive tried zerker is my fave, and the zerker boards are much more friendly than the old assassin boards i used to go to, much mroe helpful to <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />thanks again folks, and any answers to the above or other help is always appreciated.ta.<div></div><p>Message Edited by nePh on <span class="date_text">03-09-2006</span><span class="time_text">12:26 PM</span></p>

<div>Ok, for 25 and assuming money is no object, about the best you can do due to the lack of T3 fabled is rare crafted, Get yourself a full set of imbued steel vanguard, for grouping Pristine imbued steel morningstar <best 1 hander dmg and a pristine imbued fir tower shield, and for when you want DPS a pristine imbued steel falchion and a pristine imjbued steel sabre< or if you want dps two handed, any STEEL claymore, greatmace, greatword or ers axe will get you the damage. Also if your on Antonia Bayle give Grumsh a shout or mail if im not on, I love helping new people<img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></div>

(I have two carbonite falchions now and thought of upgrading to steel). Do I get some kind of a bonus if I use two types of weapons?</p>

<div></div>Yodaya, its not so much a bonus as a safety blanket. A sabre is a piercing weapon, a falchion is a slashing weapon. Some mobs are immune to slashing, or piercing. So if you have both you will do damage still.

<div>since one of the recent updates, mobs are no longer immune to any type of damage.  A few very powerful mobs are resistant to certain types, but not totally immune.</div>

<div>Well, like others said, if you're going to be MTing in a group you should buy the best armor you can possibly afford, and the best shield. Legendary stuff is very nice if you can afford it and will *Really* help you be able to tank some nasty stuff that would otherwise chew you up pretty badly.  Your tanking spells: Keep those up to date with adepts and masters if you possibly can, and use them! So many zerkers I know that want to tank keep on a fury stance and don't use their tanking buffs 'because it slows down cast time ' or 'nerfs our slash/pierce etc'</div><div> </div><div>I can't really talk much from the solo zerker/fury stance point of view. My zerker is built to be a tank and I don't solo him. I've got the best armor I can afford, and while it's not all super uber 'I've got a level 60 alt crafter' stuff, it IS pretty nice and I can easily tank ^^^ of my level or a little above with my SK and my assassin there to help.</div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div>

<P>Hey all,</P> <P>Guardian soon to be Zerker here.  What I do is I make sure I have one of each type of weapon, slashing/crushing/piercing.  Not so much for if I run into an immune/resistant mob (although that used to be an issue) but to make sure I keep my skills maxed out.  You don't want to get a new nifty mace and find out that your crushing skill is 50 points below where it should be.  For tanking right now I'm using the Shiny Brass Shield and a rare crafted axe.  For soloing I switch between DW the Polished Granite Tomahawk and the Short Sword of Yekesha and if I go 2H I use my Electrified Bone Bladed Claymore.  For armor I'm using pristine imbued ebon chest and legs and the rest is fulginate.  I don't raid so I can get away with that.  If you'r a casual or poor player that's an alternative.  Get the chest and legs rare imbued crafted and the rest common crafted.  For attributes concentrate on STR, STA, and Wis.  STR for damage, power pool, and how much loot you can carry.  STA for max HP.  Wis to boost your resists. </P>
