Str AA question

<div>I just reached the second level of my STR tree and now I need to equip an axe in my primary for it to work.  Well I equipped my DW cobalt axe yesterday, but I didn't notice any increase in Crit hits.  For anyone else that is going down the STR line could you let me know what axe you are using...and if anyone knows of any good T7 axes that are out there could you please let me know about them?</div><div>Thanks</div>

<div></div><div></div>Is it a passive ability or a buff that you need to cast in order for it to work?  Because I'm pretty sure that any axe is supposed to make it work.  Then again, crits are not really all that spectacular to begin with in most cases and if you are only on the first teir of the ability (app1) it doesn't give you that huge of an increase in the chance for them to happen either.  You will probably need to get some more ranks in the ability to really notice it I think.  I am going with the WIS path for the most part myself and the second ability in that line which requires a mace worked just fine with an old gray t5 dw treasured mace that I was using to test it out.  I don't see why the requirement would be that much different for the one in the STR line.  It just says you need an axe equipped in the primary slot for it to work, it doesn't say that it has to be any certain quality or from any certain teir.  Then again maybe it's like a proc that has a chance to go off every time you hit a mob with the axe so then the quality of the axe might have an effect on how often you can get the spell to proc.  I can't say for sure though as I'm not going with anything in the STR path myself.  But to answer your question, all the imbued xegonite weapons seem pretty nice so I would recommend having one made.  There is also a treasured 1h axe I've seen called the Axe of Aggrivation that has 15str, 15sta, and Regen III on it that you should be able to find on the broker for just a few gold.  Also, there is a series of quests you can get from one of the owl people on the Whisperwind island in the Barren Sky that gives a pretty decent 2h axe that has 42 STR and +4 defense on it.  The item is called Windsplitter but I don't remember the name of the quest.  Can't say that I've seen any legendary T7 axes yet.<div></div><p>Message Edited by infernus006 on <span class="date_text">03-07-2006</span><span class="time_text">05:53 PM</span></p>
