<div>What counts as a "spear" for the Agility AA's?</div><div> </div><div>In terms of the crafted weapons, I mean. Obviously, the "spear" and "great spear" types count. Does anything else?</div><div> </div><div>I ask because I am currently level 15 and intending to specialize in the Agility tree first, which uses spears. I have a peice of steel that I want to have crafted into an imbued steel weapon, but I want to know what my options are for the weapon's base type (so that I can pick the one that I visually like the best, since the stats are all the same, at least within the same weapon type - ie: 1H, 2H, DW).</div><div> </div><div>So anybody know which ones work other than "spear" and "great spear"?</div>

<div></div>I don't know for sure, but I think it would have to do pierce damage.  So, any dual wield spears that are pierce may be okay.  I don't think halberds (slashing) would work, but tridents (piercing) might have a chance.

<div></div><div></div><div>Did some testing to check this myself (I have Dragoon Spin).  Weapons are listed as name and then speed.</div><div> </div><div>Confirmed 1hs:</div><div> </div><div>Spear (1.<img src="/smilies/b2eb59423fbf5fa39342041237025880.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />, Trident (2.<img src="/smilies/b2eb59423fbf5fa39342041237025880.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />, Javelin (1.9), Voulge (2.4),</div><div> </div><div> </div><div>Confirmed DWs:</div><div> </div><div>Leafblade (2.1), Short Spear (1.7), Tribal Spear (2.4), Ornate Spear (2.3)</div><div> </div><div> </div><div>Confirmed 2hs:</div><div> </div><div>Harpoon (3.0), Lance (3.0), Pike (2.3), Great Spear (2.3)</div><div> </div><div>Things that do NOT work that you may think will:</div><div>Halberds, Bardiches</div><div> </div><div>Things I am not sure on either way: Scythes (Someone suggested this might count, but I doubt it.)</div><div> </div><div>General rule of thumb seems to be that if the weapon can be equipped by shamans it is likely a spear. But if it's warrior/crusader or warrior/crusader/scouts but not shaman then it isn't. Thus far not a single slashing or crushing weapon has worked.</div><div> </div><div>As a sidenote Tridents and Voulges are held and fought with like two-handers but are one-handers, you can fight with a shield and it looks pretty sweet.</div><div> </div><div>Most of those weapons will be available to be crafted in T7 I believe, can anyone confirm that? I believe all of the one-handers were added (IE tridents, voulges, etc) but I am not sure how many of the two-handers made it, if any. They may now be woodworking. As for DW I believe only Leafblades are craftable, but don't quote me on that. I hope they make every weapon craftable personally, I really like the look of Tridents/Voulges and Ornate Spears, can't stand leafblades in comparison to Ornates.</div><div> </div><div>Hope that helps.</div><div> </div><div>As an addendum: The current PVP status related weapons are almost entirely swords. The only spear available is one-handed and aimed towards Shamans (sold on the priest merchant) which is a real dissapointment. I sincerely hope that with the development of weapon-line oriented achievements the devs do more than flood all of the legendary and fabled loot tables with swords, curved swords, and slightly bigger swords. With the change of weapon types in T7 reflecting statistic choice and style choice they should add one of every weapon type at the very least to the vendors, and to big quest line rewards (like prismatic) otherwise some achievement lines will suffer.</div><p>Message Edited by Dimglow on <span class="date_text">03-02-2006</span><span class="time_text">12:37 PM</span></p>

<div></div><p>Spears use rare wood instead of metal, you will need fir instead of steel to get the  T3 rare crafted spear. At least I can make them so with my woodworker.</p><p> </p><p> </p>

<div></div><p>According to...</p><p><a target="_blank" href="http://eq2craft.computersims.com/BrowseRecipes.aspx?category=class&id=9">http://eq2craft.computersims.com/BrowseRecipes.aspx?category=class&id=9</a></p><p>Spears are made by Weaponsmiths, not Woodworkers. But then again, that website may be out of date.</p><p>The question is, however.... who can make a Great Spear? Such a weapon isn't listed on this site. Nor is a Harpoon or Lance. Pikes are mentioned, however, as craftable by a Woodworker.</p><p>So who can make Harpoons, Lances, and Great Spears? Not a "spear", mind you. A "great spear". I'm looking for a two-handed weapon, and apparently a "spear" is one-handed.</p>

<div></div><p>I have heard, but not confirmed it myself, that the halberd part of the Godking weapon also counts a great spear for this AA line. I know this doesn't help the OP, but it may help other higher level berserkers if they are thinking of spec'ing the agi line.</p><p>I won't be spec'ing the agi line myself as I will be going wis/int, but maybe one of our other bersekers that plans on going the agi line can confirm this if they have the Godking sword/halberd.</p>
