Being the MT is mostly a hit or miss proposition. When your group or raid wins, everyone is your friend, but when you lose you are often the goat.

The most outrageous blame happened to me tonight. I have to share it…if nothing else then to vent. ; )

We were doing Meeting of the Minds. I pulled and turned the boss away from the group and started chaining my taunts. I quickly dropped to red and never recovered. The healers we had did a great job, but there were just not enough of them. After about a minute or so I finally died and we got wiped. Afterwards, I mentioned that we didn’t have enough healing (no insult to the healers, just a comment that we didn’t have enough of them).

That is when all hell broke loose.

I started getting tells from this gal claiming we lost only because…get this…only because I used a level 10 potion before the battle. Say what? What potion? LOL She berated me for supposedly using this mysterious potion.

I told her she was [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn]. Then her husband chimed in with “How dare you talk to my wife that way?” LOL He said they inspected me and determined we lost only…ONLY…because I used a level 10 potion.

Now, I am an old fart and have little patience with idiots…maybe that is my fault. I also have a level 62 alchemist that supplies me with the only potions I use. I did not have a level 10 potion in my inventory, but I did have a partially used level 20 int potion that someone gave me ions ago that I have never used (int has no effect on Zerkers as far as I know). And I didn’t use it tonight…..I did, however, use several level 50+ potions. What I failed to see was their point that I somehow doomed us by using a potion that would do nothing to either enhance my effectiveness nor deter from it.

BTW, I didn’t know you could actually check in other player’s bags…..unless they were totally making it up, that is the only way they could have known here was one low level potion there. But I digress….

The word “[expletive haxx0red by Raijinn]” was the only thing I could come up with. I guess I am not that orginal when I am really [Removed for Content] off. I let them have it.

So now I am without a guild because I returned the insults of two idiots that were made for each other (I wasn’t kicked…but was on the verge when I quit because I was firing back at them with both barrels…my alt was subsequently booted, driving the point home).

Being the MT is not fun sometimes. LOL

lol. Hey, in your defence you are a Berserker and Berserkers just have to let loose and rip [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] up sometimes! *salute* You should have ripped their heads off and beat your chest... or something.

Q, That was one of the funniest storeis I have read in a while, I started laughing when you opened up on them. Glad to see I am not the only one who feels this way when dealing with people who are like that. Sorry you lost your guild, but sounds to me like your better off anyway.

The problem probably wasnt with you or the healers abilities, but more with a bug in the Mobs power lvls right now from what I have been reading.

Thanks for the laugh:smileyvery-happy:

Sounds like your better off without them. Healers are good ones to blame, the MT cant really control the luck of the draw hits. Stacking buffs prior to pull, and keeping the MT alive is what wins the raid. Keeping that MT alive falls to the Healers resposibility. If you died, its because they failed their responsibility.Altho on a lighter note: I've f'd up a pull here and there, "Whoops, i'm still in offensive stance" or "Doh, forgot to equip my shimmering ring of the djinn"

I don't understand why people get so bent out of shape over dieing. It's a game where you constantly fight. Death is part of the game. Get used to it. Atleast when you die you don't lose much, except for a little bit of xp, which will easily be made up, if needed, and a few gold.

This is one reason why I like the guild I'm in. We are a pretty serious bunch, and do raid alot. We try like hell not to die. But, when we do, we don't take it all that serious. Most of the time we laugh about it. Many times someone will fess up about what they thought they did wrong that caused it. We take it as a learning experience and do it all over again.

I especially hate it when people try to nitpick and find one little thing (even if it doesn't make any sense) to blame the MT for everything bad that happens to them.

LOL bro.. you are so definitlly better off with out them. A couple things to point out:

A. The game should be fun. People getting that wound up over one fight aren't going to make the game fun.

B. There is no single determining factor on a wipe. The whole idea behind raid mobs is that EVERYIONE has to do their part to make the raid successful

C. Even at level 60 MoTM can be a bugger

D. Anyone in a raiding guild will tell you that you have to wipe a few times to raid. Wipes happen ALL THE TIME. If your ex-guildmates get [Removed for Content] after one wipe, they won't be doing many raids.

Find a better guild

What upset me is that people get angry and "shout" when they feel accused.

The fact that the nobody accused them only worsens this, since if they feel accused probably they did something wrong.

And that upsets me even more, for if they know they made some mistakes, they should behave the other way around, asking forgiveness, and a chance to retry.

Leave them be, find another guild, or better some friends to go around with: everyone has connections and friends surely will introduce you to raiding again.
