This was in a differnt forums about the berserk ability being broken, and as u can see, I am not broken by any means. LoL, Post your best haste, I have made it to 132%haste and 132% DPS and remember guys WE ARE NOT BUTTON MASHERS!! you must pay attention to your haste and DPS and lay off the CA's till u come back down from being Berzerk/Hasted. you will get much more DPS that way. Haste is how fast you swing in AUTO ATTACK ONLY, DPS is the amout of Damage you do PER SWING ONLY ON AUTO ATTACK, with the cast times and recovery times you loose alot of DPS.

Say im doing the 100+ as the pics below show, If i end up casting all my CA's, by the time im done, i will be back down to 20%-41% haste and maybe 26% dps, then i am auto attacking while waiting for the CA's to come back up. see how much DPS you just lost? Everyone tells me that Zerkers cant DPS untill they see me. LoL. anyway, enjoy the pics, i will post 132%haste and 132%DPS as soon as i can catch a Screenshot of it, Enjoy~~

Message Edited by FlameingInferno on 02-27-200608:07 AM

Nice man. I just gotta ask yah i have never gotten my haste or dps up that high while in defensive stance. How did you do it? I agree with you tho zerkers are definelty not broken in fact i have notice that we are now very close to neck and neck on the consistent dps ladder as the brusier.

While I am not certain for haste I can tell you that DPS caps at 100%. I've had something like 170% DPS with Death March, Consecrated Aura, and Fury Berserk, but I hit no different than if I had just Death March.

I believe haste also caps at 100%, but again, I'm not sure. I do know there is a cap for it though.

(Former 60 SK of AB now 30 Berserker on RP-PVP)

I noticed you're using a 1h and shield? Wouldn't it have been better to use a 2h to get the most out of that dps and haste?

no, the one hand weapon i am useing i think is much better than the two handers i have access to, If i had the Capt. Evershifting Vogue then i would go with the 2h. But as it turns out the 2h cobalt great sword, 2h ironwood bowstaff, and the 2h ironwood pike are just above the 1h i have, by 3 points in damage rateing. So i think i get better stats and more avoidance useing the shield and 1h. check out the weapons below. I will however switch to the 2h T7 Katana that i have at lvl 63 so my damage will be VERY nice with that, It has a higher damage rateing than the Evershifting Vogue.

Morningstar of the Guard and the Crimson Rock Targe is what you see me useing in the pics above. posted a few of the same weapons on the same pics so u can compair. Yeah im a weapon [Removed for Content]!

Where does the Katana come from? I saw one on the broker but can't seem to find out where it is from. :smileysad:

The katana drops from the second to last named in the nest..I forget it's name. I picked one up a few days ago. It's damage rating is a little higher than the captain's, but the captain's has better attributes. As far as procs, I think the captains is better. So all in all, imo, they're about the same. I might end up giving mine to a guildie or selling it.

As far as haste/dps mods, some very knowledgeable guildies told me they both max out at 100. Tis why I don't cast open wounds when others in my group already have large haste buff(s) on me. I'll take a quick look to see when it comes off, then cast open wounds, to get the most from the spell.

Message Edited by FightGame on 02-27-200602:38 PM

Message Edited by FightGame on 02-27-200602:39 PM

Hey all!!

Thanks for the great info!!

As a new zerker on the PvP server, after reading your posts, I can tell that I am not using this guy right. I have been out of the

game for about a year now and didn't even know what haste or the DPS percentages were. From your posts I am gathering

that out haste makes us swing faster and the DPS is how much more damage than usual we are doing? Is this correct?

And we have multiple buffs that help increase these numbers if used correctly? For instance...when we are in the bezerker

mode...we should just swing away not using CA's, and then after zerker comes off, start them again?

Again...thanks for the info...good stuff!!

When soloing, the buffs you can give yourself, from being "berserk", or getting armor/weapons/jewelery with haste buffs on them, will never max them out, so use them whenever you feel it would be most beneficial, which to a berserker, would be when fighting more than one mob at a time.

In my previous post, I was talking about the buffs that I get from others in my group, which at times is over the 100% cap.

As far as I know, you'll never reach this cap when soloing.

ALWAYS watch your DPS/Haste, This is THE biggest mistake that most zerkers make while playing, They just mash buttons when ever they are ready, That is not getting the most out of your Zerker. When i am solo with my Leggings and Belt i can hit 88% Haste and zero DPS change (without useing Openwounds and Rampage ) , (scouts and mages can give us DPS buffs we can only buff haste) Now i have the master 2 self haste buff, when that procs i beleve i will hit 41% or 44% this happens quite often, Once that happens you will see it on the personae window you have open. at that point BACK OFF! Let your melee auto attack and ONLY hit your two hardest hits if they are up, Frenzy and Slay, soon you will drop back down to 0% haste (or in my case 20% haste cuz of the Conquers Belt i have that drops in the Feerrott raid zone Sprits Of The Lost) at that point it is best for you to use some of your other CA's till you are able to Go berserk again. If you mouse over the Haste part of the Personae window it will tell you that haste will increse your Auto Attack speed, and if you mouse over your DPS mod in the personae window it will show you that it will increse your Auto attack damage. I beleve you have to have Tool Tips on for this to work.

Open wounds and rampage are our BEST abilitys, and should be used on large groups of mobs, As you can see in the pic i first posted we have quite a bit of mobs on us LoL, i will normaly cast my Group Mitigation buff and Weapon Agis as some mobs can Riposte our hits back to us and we can end up doing alot of damage to ourselves, BECARFUL USEING THIS ABILITY ON NAMED MOBS!! This really works best when a guard is tanking and you stand behind the mob, you have a much less chance of a Riposte. Also I enjoy being in DPS mode, I dont always go for mitigation, that is when a guardian is the tank of course! if you are the tank wear your mitigation armor (we also do more damage when we tank, not a whole lot but will help ) I have several pieces of armor and weapons for different occations, i even have some leather gloves i use that have 14str and 14 sta on them, the mitigation sux but im not tanking so it doesnt matter much. Key is to add your Mitigation armor to your hot bars and click them quickly if u end up getting aggro. send me a tell anytime if you need and further info!! /tell Nektulos.Krozum i beleve it is. Or we can start a chat channal that we can join together, just post here on the forums and hopefuly i will see it,

Message Edited by FlameingInferno on 02-27-200608:51 PM

i'm still fuzzy on some of this...................what does your haste max at and if it does max at?......and if you go above max is there still a benefit but at a lower rate or none at all?also is your attack rating a true number or do you take that and then calculate it to your current haste or is the haste all ready calculated into that number allready?i was duel wielding the other day and had a pair of t6/t7 wepons on both at 44.0 dmg ratingi also had a set up with one t7 duel wep of dmg rating 44.0 and a t5 fabled baton with a dmg rating of 33.o but it had 20 percent haste on itthe first setup i had a higher attack rating but the secound setup i had a higher haste rating and my attack rating was only a few points lower.if haste is not reflected in theattack rating then i will definately then i will definately use the secound setup.......but im still not clear on thisany help appreciated thanks guys

It's for a short duration, but workable. I was fortunate enough to get an Engulfing Rage master 1 drop recently (27% haste). Acceleration from the int achievement path gives another 25% (rank 2) haste when triggered. Stack on another 45% from an adept 3 Open Wounds, and you're already at 97%. A haste item or going further down the int path can put you over the top.

With both Dps and Haste now being displayed on the persona window is it also possible to show Hit point and Power regen per tic? Haste and dps only mater to melee classes and mean nothing at all to casters, But the Hp and Power regen would help everyone.the hp/Power regens should show both inate, ratial trait, and spell regens per tic. Not sure how you would define "per/tic" or normalize spells that are fasters regens, but it would be nice if it was possible.

The 100% haste cap is why noone should try and haste a Monk. As self buffed(for DPS) I can pull down 84% haste(with Everburning Flame(wich trades Health for Haste)).

example to the benefit of +100 mod would be like this:

buffed Haste 150% player is debuffed by mob for 50% player is still able to to utillize100% haste, same person gets hit with a debuff of 100% now would only have 50% haste applied. Breaking the cap allows you to be able to maintain a higher haste when debuffed then would be possible if it were hardcapped at 100%.

I cant find anything on what the cap is. Maybe we can get a Game Designer to post here? or someone from SOE that knows how this works. Would be a great help on how I play my toon. The more i understand how things work the better i can play my zerker. Just from controling what and when i cast i have doubled my DPS
