Maybe I am wrong and never noticed BUT... I checked the definition of Open Wound last night and it was saying that it affects ''up to 4 mobs'' .... Was it always like this? I remember hitting more than 4 with this skill, so it was changed? I noticed doing less damage <span>:smileysad:</span><span>:smileysad:</span><div></div>

The only thing that has changed is that it now is truly frontal arc only. If anything, they fixed the ability to match the description. The description before was a bit ambiguous, saying that it would hit any opponents that you faced. While that description was open to interpretation, many felt that the description's intent was to hit mobs in your frontal arc. Now, that is what it does.</span><div></div>

Always has. If you like, you can find numerous threads about that limit on these boards. Here's one: http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=4&message.id=16823&query.id=40232#M16823Open Wounds is not encounter specific, so it will hit mobs from multiple encounters. Same as Rampage. But both of them have a limit as to how many mobs they will hit.</span><div></div><p>Message Edited by Tuddar on <span class="date_text">02-24-2006</span><span class="time_text">11:56 AM</span></p>

<div></div>I could be wrong, i havent really paid much attention to it lately BUT ... i believe Open Wounds hits all the enemies in the area if they are in the frontal arc as long as you have four or less ENCOUNTERS ... i could be wrong but i believe the term "Mob" is used both to reflect entire groups of enemies as well as single enemies. I mean correct me if i'm wrong but I think just the other day i was in the Eye thing in Sinking Sands killing those Sul Dal dudes for writs, and i would pull four GROUPS of mobs and pop Open wounds and rampage, then kill the mobs in seconds...Rampage usually destroys the first group or two and open wounds chips at em all and as i cycle through it becomes to the point where i only have them targeted for one or two auto swings and they drop...if they dont drop from the AOE portion of it that is.

A mob isn't an encounter. An encounter is made up of one or more mobs.Open Wounds and Rampage both have limits as to the number of mobs they hit. Those mobs you are talking about in Anuk Bay have very little HP, and with Rampage and Open Wounds up simultaneously, will drop in mere seconds. So while it may appear that you are hitting everything, in fact you are not. If you were to closely look at your logs, you would see those limits. The description is merely stating what has been true all along. Had the description been there in the beginning, we probably wouldn't have posts claiming otherwise.</span><div></div>

I used to farm goblins every day for gold in PoF, and i would get 3-4 encoutners approximately 10 goblins at a time, get up rampage and open wounds, and drop them in seconds.. i wasn't aware that open wounds could hit outside of the frontal arc, so i would line them up, and they would drop.... I would absolutely hit more than 4 of them at a time.  I did this for hours at a time.<div></div>

Rampage is encounter specific, meaning if you use a single target ability only that encounter will get hit, it works off autoattack and CA's.Open wounds is not encounter specific and works only on autoattack in a frontal arc about 180 degrees and hits up to 4 mobs including the one you are autoattacking.  (Before patch it hit up to 4 mobs around you).Everyone who is saying otherwise says they use rampage and open wounds together, if you pull 4 encounters and use both abilities open wounds will hit the other encounter since it is non encounter specific thus triggering one of the 10 rampage triggers on that encounter and on up to 3 other encounters.  This is the way it works.BohboCrushbone<div></div>

<div></div><div>I remember farming the Lion Tamer and Warclaw in SC and while I would wait for pops I would get groups of mobs usually between 8 and 10, hit OW, Ramp and Frenzied Blows and they would drop really quick.  That doesn't happen anymore.</div><div>I guess Rampage only has a chance to proc 1 time now per mob rather than the 10 times before the patch?  As far as OW goes it's only hitting up to 4 mobs now <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />  BOOO!</div>
