<div></div><p>uh oh...when i see stuff like this before i can log into the game after a major patch it scares me...my lvl 51 zerker has only been around and a true zerker since LU13(not like it is now, where classes start out as what they will eventually be,prior to LU13 he was a warrior)...so he hasnt seen any of the major changes or really been affected by high level skill changes. but now he is my main and is level 51. I like him, at least I did. if they take away my ability to do DPS i am worthless. I duo with my wifes lvl 55 monk, and she main tanks...if i cant DPS I am worthless, we will no longer be able to take out anything that will be good enough xp for us to get even the same xp as if we were solo'ing.</p><p> </p><p>i hope that these early reports of our DPS and rage abilities being gimped are out of proportion or are false, because I am very afraid that my main will become worthless...I do not wish to be a gaurdian, because I do not wish to tank all the time. the character I have built was centered around DPS with the ability to off tank if needed. if they change our class to cut our DPS I dont know what Roin will be good for...his taunts quite frankly are weak, and unless I am in offensive, even with adept 1 and 3 taunts and aggro stances, I can barely hold aggro and only in a group that isnt nuke or backstab happy. my mitigation and avoidance is a joke, when my wife and i were the same level, she only had a few hundred mitigation points less than myself, and she was wearing light armour, not plate, and I had more legendary and level appropriate gear than her! I am a wood elf and have 180 agility, and fairly high avoidance, and even so, from lvl 10 to lvl 50 she has always been a better tank...she needs less heals or wards, and when duo'ing anything from greens to oranges, she hardly ever gets hit! myself on the other hand...eheheheh....</p><p> </p><p>lets just say if they [Removed for Content] my dps, i dont have a choice but to solo my way through the game with a broken character i will no longer enjoy, or work up another character to my wifes level....</p>

<div></div><i>"I didnt notice any upgrades to taunts or other attacks."</i>All the spells we have that are below level 57 are getting upgraded, including Fearsome Shout, Brutal Pledge, and all the other attacks and buffs that we got prior to level 57.BTW I was tanking level 67 heroics in the Bonemire last night with no healer.<i></i><div></div><p>Message Edited by infernus006 on <span class="date_text">02-22-2006</span><span class="time_text">11:35 AM</span></p>

<div>To the original post. You sound like a total idiot. I noticed no changes in taunting ability or anything of that sort last night.</div><div>I don't suggest you roll a guard, I was thinking more like a fairy.</div>
<div></div>Havent noticed any differance.
<div></div><p>As I noted in the other thread, the only difference I noticed was to procs. It was very evident when using Open Wounds and Rampage. The damage from both of them was down significantly. Again, this is not a whine or a compalint. It's just an observation.</p><p>I did The Nest of the Great Egg last night and was able to hold agro just fine. Our Wiz did pull it from me a few times, mainly on the named fights where I wasn't able to really hit the mobs to well due to level difference, but it wasn't anything rescue couldn't cure. Otherwise my damage output was still pretty good. I definatly CAN NOT say that the proc changes were game breakers for zerkers.</p>

<div></div><p>Well, I have been a Berzerker for 51 levels now, and on very few occassions I have not been the MT. I understand that once I enter the realm of raiding, I most likely will be passed over on the job to a lvl 70 Fabled Guardian. Once I was asked to tank in a group over a Guardian 2 levels higher than me. The point is, the ability of your toon is in my opinion about 60-70% user ability. The other 30-40% lies with gear and spell levels. As a guardian, if I pull the mob, land a self HO (using AOE taunt when applicable) [group has to let you do this and be patient], and use the correct procs and additional taunting attacks in the beginning, and not fall asleep at the wheel, I am not going to lose aggro. And in the case that I fat-finger a button or fizzle, that is what rescue is designed for (not the wizard that spams nukes first 10 seconds of fight - I have a Wizzie, hard not to do). I know of Berzerkers that are MT for raids, with the ability to use the fabled plate armor their mitigation is up there by the Guardian. Oh, almost forgot, the three 30sec buffs that retime in 1.5 minutes, that are hard to pay attention to and keep track of, make a huge difference. My Defense for the first 30 seconds of a fight is 280 at lvl 50 using these, that makes it equivalent to a lvl 56. No one said Berzerkers are easy to play, or easy to tank, but the ability is there, you just have to tap into it. As for DPS, I feel they are satisfactory in that role, and if you are in a group of scout types on a raid, with the str buffs and the ability for the whole group to go berzerk, that is a huge complement.</p><p>If your goal in the game is to be the Uber dude in the guild and the MT always, then role a guardian, but personally I find the Berzerker a whole lot of fun.</p>

Yup all is fine here. Tanked Nest and many other things the same as i always do. Imo the people that are having a major problem and wanting to Reroll just don't know how to play this class efficetiveyl. This is a MMORPG it will always change. Face it its inevitable. Not only do you need to learn your class well to excel you must also have the ability to change an adapt. I love this class and will continue to love it. If you want to reroll you might wanna try a game that is a little more suiting a little more static.<div></div>
