im a FIVE bar man myself ... well 4 active bars and one that i switch one of my other bars to.I have one bar up top with my buffs and some of the fluff stuff, my COQ, Help etc.. I also switch out sometimes from that bar to a second bar that has some set up macro pulls and my master rage's.

on the bottom i have 3 bars, one set up normal long ways ... two set up so that they are stacked two buttons high.

My bottom three are as follows...

on the left (when looking at the screen) I have my melee attack stuff (single target and group mostly) and my melee attack button. I also have my AOEs like Rampage and Open Wounds and Slaughter etc.

The middle bar has my taunts on the far left, plus stunning howl. Also on that bar is my Wall Of Rage, Chaos, Weapon Aegis, Controlled Rage and some of my other BS like that.

The far right bar has Guarded Vehemance, my imbued rings so i can keep the buffs on those up, as well as Blood Boil because its on a timer so i want to do it around the time i do my rings, my Carpet and several other 'easy access' buttons.

I don't know about the rest of you guys but i have so many things i need to have quick access to that at BEST i could get by with 4 hotbars. My rotating in of the 5'th is kind of new cause normally i dont use the macros like "Incoming ____ " type stuff when tanking, i just keep a steady stream of pulling till everyones out of mana.

I'd strongly suggest adding in at least 2 more hotbars. Not sure how you get by with only 2 to be honest. With 4 you can add in every CA and still have room for rings/manastone/potions etcs..

I also have 5 bars setup, 1 = offensive CA's and taunts, 2 = combat buffs, stuff that last for 30sec or so, 3 = perm buffs (too lazy to change bars when i die), 4 = macros, inc countdowns, auto strip, weapon switch, etc, and 5 = potions, totems, rings, and dollsThere are a few empty spaces that I fill in with rez items, mana shards, dark hearts, etc during raids.

Message Edited by Benzeneironpants on 01-23-200609:05 AM

I love not having many hotbars on my baby serker. You should thank the dark gods that you aren't a priest!

I play with my primary hotbar hidden. It has all the quick cast CAs and heroic op plus taunts. I use the number keys to activate them and have my mouse free to adjust my pov and click my other bars containing all the other stuff.

I'm still trying to practice using ctrl and shift to access hotbar 2 and 3 but i mess up usually. Ideally id like to play with soley a chatbox with various tabs and maybe one hotbar for rings/pots etc as i like to have my mouse free to target what i want to hit perfectly although the main reason being that the game runs considerably smoother with less user interface to render. Best test for this is to hit F10. for my priest this doubles the framerate ffs She has that much UI on the screen i need to run at 1600x1200 to have it all on the screen and have a third of the actual game behind all the [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] visible (On raids im actually looking through the raid window).

Message Edited by Docimodo on 01-25-200606:55 AM

I myself also use 5 hot bars, but i dont see them all at the same time, 3 of them i do, which have all my tanking and offenisve abilitys i use in any fights, wether it be raid or group, i also have other stuff in there like assist and incoming macros with the get naked macors as well to save gear when raid is wiping.

Get naked macro is a comand to get naked instantly, one click of a button strips all your gear off in less then 1 second, perfect for saving the repair bills and your gear lasting longer on raids.

I then have all my buffs on another hot bar that i just click to goto from my primary hot bar and i have a hot bar that is hidden until i scroll my mouse over it with things like ring buffs, creature mastery skills etc.

Since let us adjust the Hotbar icon sizes, i'm sitting at like.... seven visible hotbars.I stack three horizontal hotbars for my combat stuff:, Taunts (far left), Combat arts (left center), raid assist/inc crap (right center), emergancy stuff, interecede, rescue, 30s buffs..etc (far right)fourth hot bar is maintained buffs. And since they added hotkeying items, that's what amounts to three other hotbars (which didn't exist prior).Rings all hotkeyed, entire bar of weapons hotkeyed (stupid akhet mobs). and bar full of potions/misc items (carpet, guise...etc)I hate switching hotbars.. and they are nice and small so its not a major consumption of screen space. About the same when the hotkeys weren't custimizable.I'm actually considering adjusting this to make it more economic, but mainly i'm lazy, and this has been my set up for a while.

Aon... How did you macro to strip gear? Several time's I die and use the 30 seconds to rip off my gear, but if I had a quick way to do it, I'd be muuuucho happy Please let us know!
Personally, I can't stand using the mouse, so I do not care if all the hotbars are visible. There is no inconvience in scrolling through them with the Shift-# hotkeys. I keep 2 visible, 7 total when you include items. One is to just keep track of visible indicators for when recast timers are up for things that I do not want to keep track of in my head (ie. manastone, longer timers like rampage).

I get by on 3 visible hotbars. The first with a few essential game functions like melee, ranged, sprint and Aigh! That bar also supports all my sword icon attacks and the kick too.

The second bar is home to all my taunts, my charm clickies, and half of my arm icon arts. The other half are below on row three followed by all my fist icon arts.

All my master rages are an extra click away on bar 4. While many of my permant buffs like the Rage line and are a click above on row 0.
