Endgame Weapons

<DIV>This past weekend, I picked up <A href="http://konofo.com/eq2/captain's%20ever-shifting%20vouge.jpg" target=_blank>this fine weapon</A>.  Cheers to the designers for bumping up Al'Afaz loots!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I really didn't post this to show off, though.  This is certainly the finest weapon that I have seen myself so far, but what I really want to know is if any of the more raid-happy zerks out there have anything similar or better to share, something you'd consider an endgame weapon (1H, DW, whatever).  I always like having something to look forward to, and I'm sure some of the lower level fellows do as well. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So what else is out there?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>najena.konk</DIV>

It's a really nice dual wield piercer that I would love to get my hands on. <DIV> <P>Silverthorn is pretty nice, I wound up with one by default after my regular scouts got theirs.  But I am guessing the raid zones have something even better, especially after the recent loot revamps.  There's a Legendary (Blade of Center) out of Temple Court which is roughly on par with Silverthorn, so I expect the Fabled to be a notch above.</P> <P>Before this sword came along, I was using a Dagger of the Lost Eye + Aegis of True Defense.  Not the best 1H for a zerk, but the damage rating sure was nice.  Now, I only use a shield versus epic mobs.</P> <P>najena.konk</P></DIV>

What was your strength when you took that shot Konk? Just wondering because Moribund posted a pic of his over on the Malice forums and the auto-attack was 219 - 658.

<P>Yeah, STR was probably pretty low at the time.  I rarely even look at the Your Damage numbers, just Damage Rating.</P> <P>najena.konk</P>

<P>I passed on the DW cudgel from Loremaster in Ahket...I need a new BP/Legs more than a fancy DW and I dont have a pile of DKP to blow on more weapons. But it was sick hot. 48something DR with nice stats. I was first offer, but passed to our monk so I can stay ahead of rest of plate fighters for some BP lovin if we ever see any drop.</P> <P> </P> <P>Speaking of which, does anyone know who in Gates has the plate drops? We typically get Trade and Residence done but we havent been to Priestess Court yet before people start getting tired and logging. So far its a lot of Mage/Priest gear, not much plate.</P> <P> </P> <P>And in Al'Afaz we havent beaten Moonchild yet, is there someone else who has plate besides the Prismatic guys legs?</P>

<DIV>I assume you mean <A href="http://eq2.ogaming.com/db/items/CudgeloftheDevout.php" target=_blank>this DW cudgel</A> ...which is pretty awesome.  I am not much of a DW fan, but if we had no brawlers around, I wouldn't let that rot. :smileywink:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>As for armor, I haven't been very deep in Gates yet either, so I don't recognize names like Ritual Mistress Cheroo or Magrick the Destroyer, who reportedly drop some nice pieces.  In Al'Afaz, we got a Cuirass of the Djinn from one of the roaming ghosts.  Maybe someone should start an 'Endgame Armor' thread for that stuff. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>najena.konk</DIV>

I passed on the cudgel,and boy was I right, I got the vouge the next evening <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />I didn't find anything sexier than the vouge in Eq2idb, I guess for now it is to be considered the best toy out there.<div></div>

Finally got an Eviscerator from the Blades instance this weekend. Server first. That thing has some sexy stats, but the no graphic thing bugs me. I fight as if I am going hand to hand. Wonder if thats intended or just an oversight.

I'm currently using the vouge, also have the blade of center which I previously used DW with a T5 haste baton, the crystal baton of flight. The vouge is sweet now however, easily competing with the top dps in my guild at 500-600 sustained over 5 min raid fights. Also have battlehamer of esutuarine might as well as dagger of the lost eye. The vouge owns them, straight up, auto attacks of 700-800 are not uncommon, good luck with it! And here we've cleared most of gates, court, pp2, and other top end zones. <div></div>
