<DIV>Ever since LU 17 I have started fizzling Open Wounds. This is the only ability that I have noticed this happening with. Is this considered a spell? I thought all melee abilities were imune to fizzles and since I never saw one before LU 17 am wondering if anyone else has seen this?</DIV>

<P>I have fizzled my Mastery Skills (Gnoll Master's Rage, for example) on more than one occassion.  Struck me as strange at the time.  </P> <P>Jaytee</P>

i know what you mean, it happens to be from time to time as well, and i find it very annoying.  it only happens on open wounds and enemy mastry rage buffs though but still.  i sent a bug report about it a while back... <div></div>

Coming from a high level wizard to a zerker, having 1 CA fizzle once in a while is nothing. <div></div>

^ yeah ok but the point is that none of our ca's are supposed to fizzle at all, ever.  that's one of the perks of being a figher.  our "spells" are not magic spells they are melee combat arts which the concept of fizzling does not apply to.  this is a bug they need to fix.  just so you know i also played a wizard to level 26 before i started my zerker.  from what i understand as a mage the more int you have the less often you will fizzle, correct?  well i don't believe the amount of str i have effects the frequency at which the aforementioned ca's fizzle for my zerker.  and if int is a factor there then im screwed since my int is only like 65...which is supposed to be ok since i'm not supposed to need it anyway. <div></div>

<DIV>Aye this is not a game breaking problem, but as Infernus stated it should never happen. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>To see a fizzle for the first time in 60 lvls was a bit....odd. I wanted to bring this up to see 1) if I was the only one with this problem and 2) to get the word out that it should be /bugged.</DIV>

Open wounds is considered a buff and is cast as a spell. The same goes for our mastery spells and some of our racial abilities. Actually, I've purposely cast my masteries in a chain while being attacked by mutliples so that I can increase my focus skill. <div></div>

<div></div>ok if it's supposed to happen with the enemy mastries then so be it, i still don't agree with it but i can live with it, however i still insist that it should never happen with open wounds.  and just because it is a buff means nothing.  it never happens with any of my other buffs.  they are still considered "combat arts".  so i don't think it should be happen with that one either. furthermore i can understand caster tanks' (crusaders) magic-based spells and nukes having a chance to fizzle.  that's probably one of the reasons why many of them actually care about having a decent amount of int along with the fact that their nukes will do more damage because of it.  berserkers however are strictly a melee-based class and none of our "spells" have anything to do with magic at all. <div></div><p>Message Edited by infernus006 on <span class=date_text>12-05-2005</span> <span class=time_text>05:29 PM</span>
