Using an imbued cedar wand as a main weapon?

<DIV>I had this dilemma myself a few levels ago. I tried the wand, but then I saw an ebon cluster for 65g so I bought that and had an imbued ebon assault axe made. The wand just looks stupid and the nuke is much too slow. The imbued axe will cost you more, but it is a better weapon. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Another option is to get a group to go after the Forgemaster in Runnyeye. He drops a FABLED 1H (Hammer of the Foregmaster) with a 43.9 DR  but it has worse stats and no proc compared to imbued ebon weapons. wouldnt use screaming mace as my primary 1handed due to the facy im usually always MT grouping wise and the hate decrease on it really turns me off. using at current imbued cobalt assault axe until i get my prismatic finished eventually personally i dont use 1h + shield alot though, more dependant on my dual wield. <div></div>

and as for the question, i would never have a wand made. Those are for the finger wiggling mages <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />. The cast timer on it is horrid so go for a proc instead. <div></div>

<div></div>i agree the screaming mace is a crappy weapon for any tank and i hate seeing other zerkers walking around with it lol.  i sold mine to the vendor right after i got it.  i only did the quest because it was an HQ to get more guild status and 60g.  it is an awesome weapon for healers though. <div></div><p>Message Edited by infernus006 on <span class=date_text>11-30-2005</span> <span class=time_text>11:06 AM</span>

If you think that the SM is useless for tanking, you're misinformed. Yes, the proc reduces hate, but that is because of power regen part increases hate. If you lose aggro with this weapon I suggest that you take a closer look at how you play, not at the weapon you're using. <P> As for the Cedar, use it on a bow or even a 2h staff. If there's one think that looks worse than a Tank walking around with what looks like a log, its a tank walking around with a wand. <P>
