<div></div><div></div><div></div>Mmmmm sleep. Doesn't Taunting defense already take a concentration slot? My idea for Taunting defense: While the idea of getting rid of the root would be nice. I think only requiring a shield may not entire balance the spell. Have a small Mana drain over time while its up? orChance the duration, instead of an unlimited duration. 3 minute duration with a 30-60s recast? ORAs Stryker said, Balance the hold the Hold The Line spells to remove the root.  Making the skill not more powerful for a single class OR Keep the root and add a moderate percentage to Hold The Line spells to allow us to resist certain spells/effects. 50-75% chance to resist Knockback effects perhaps.<p>Message Edited by Mjollnyr on <span class=date_text>11-12-2005</span> <span class=time_text>04:22 PM</span>

<P>If your asking for just the root to be removed it wont help tanking much except postioning mobs easier.</P> <P>If your asking for the Hate portion of the CA be increased plus the root removed then yeah i totally agree with that.</P> <P>But i also like Myo's suggestion but id like to add a little myself.</P> <P>Leave the root effect, raise the Hate portion of the Line so it does more Hate, leave it at a 20% proc ratio and dont touch the Damage portion of the ability, and add in there a chance to resist stuns, maybe a 20% chance to resist stuns OR make the percent chance to resist stuns based of quaility.</P>

OR </blockquote> So when you need to click it off to reposition you are not able to use it again for 30-60s?  No thanks.  The toggle works great right now at the cost of power.  Good posiitoning is already a way to fight a mob that uses knockback. </span><span> <blockquote>As Stryker said, Balance the hold the Hold The Line spells to remove the root.  Making the skill not more powerful for a single class OR </blockquote> I would rather the root effect become more useful than removed.  Currently it is a great counter measure against a mob that can cast a fear effect.  You remain rooted, even though feared.  The fact that you don't leave the area means the mob still attacks you, and doesn't switch to a group member.  I have found the mob usually does damage quite quickly after the fear causing it to break.  How useful is this?  Not very.  I know only one mob in Scornfeather's Roost that does this.  The chance to resist knockback effects would be a great addition. </span><div></div>

i much prefer having the root than a mana drain on this spell thank you the absense of mana drain by the proc on this spell is the best thing about it imo <div></div>

Just remove the root. Its a special taunting skill that alows us to get hate without taunts. Dont pallys get amends wich has the same idea? They dont have root on that? <div></div>
