<DIV>Hello my fellow Berserkers your probably wondering why am I posting this hereout of all places.  Simply because this community is the best at answering any questiosn I've ever had, quite a few of you share your home on the Unrest Server like I do, and finally because I know ya'll will be bale to help me with my problem.  I'm currently at lvl 49 and approaching the lvl 50 mark and from all the posts I've been reading and looking at it is a must to get all my equipment upgraded asap.  Problem is I'm not exactly rolling in platnium atm.  I have 5 platnium, I know I ought to have more at lvl 49 but between the fact that I left the game shortly after I dinged 40 and have only been back about 1 month I missed the loot when it was really good in Harclave and was too low lvl for Living Tomb when it was dropping tons of master chests also I'm in an extremely small guild, 4 people, but i have foudn a group of guys at eq2allaince.com and we are starting to raid about 1x a week.  These aren't excuse just reasons that I see.  That coupled with my luck is the pits I've killed 19,318 mobs as of yesterday and I've only ever seen 1 master chest and I've only ever harvested 3 legendary items 1 piece of steel and 2 rare flowers.  So the problem I face is I need to upgrade some of my armor,my rings, and also start getting adept 3 spells made.  For those of you that aren't on Unrest it is a very expensive server.  Right now cobalt armor per peice is going for 5 to 6 plat per piece so atm I can afford 1 piece before I am broke.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Here is the gear I am currently using</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Pious barbute of Sapience</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Pristine Imbued Ebon vanguard Cuirass</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Ghoulish Spaulders</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Impact Gussets</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Gauntlets of the Sweeper</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Pristine Imbued Ebon Vanguard Greaves</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Legendary Journeyman Boots</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Enchanted Bone Necklace</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Fishbone Earring</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Pristine Imbued Bloodstone ring of strength</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Pristine Imbued Bloodstone ring of stamina</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Pristine Fashioned Beryllium bangle x2</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Pristine Fashioned Beryllium Girdle</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The current plan that came to mind once I hit lvl 50 was to back off a bit onthe lvling and focus on harvesting and hope my luck changes and I am able to mine a few pieces of cobalt and some other rares.  My question to ya'll besides doing this is there any advice for other ways to make money, yes I know crafting is one but crafting is not something I enjoy at all it feels like work and I play this game to escape from work.  Also any quests to suggests that 1 can solo or do with a small group that gives items as rewards that I could use in the place of purchasing upgrades.  Any advice is most welcome and I thank for all assistance provided.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<P>Whats your harvesting skills at?  I harvested rares and had them made into adept 3's, Cobalt armor and weapons, ironwood bow and shield, and vanadium rings.  Much cheaper than buying outright but of course it does require a good amount of effort and time in harvesting nodes.  I'd say thats your best bet if you have high harvesting skills.  if not, skilling up and selling off lower tier rares wouldnt be bad I suppose.  Beyond that, not sure about all your gears stats to offer upgrade advice.  I think your best off shooting for cobalt in the main slots.</P> <P>Making money isn't my strong suit.  I just kill stuff and sell what I dont need <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P> <P> </P> <P> </P>

<div></div>Best advice I can give is to hit the croc caves and around orc highway for ores and stones. Pirate's Perch is a good spot for Ironwood and Saguaro roots. I play on Unrest also, prices are starting to drop for rares as the initial high demand is going down. Still, in the end your best bet is to harvest your own rares. I harvested almost all my Cobalt, I now have a full set along with Cobalt executioner's axe and some vanadium jewelry and almost all my Adept3's up to my level. If you've got the rares, it's a lot cheaper. Crafters will charge you anywhere from 20-40g to make a T6 Legendary item, but that's pretty manageable. Corpse drops usually fetch you around 23 silver per piece, so it doesn't take long for that to add up. The rate on rares was increased, so with any luck you can pick up a couple of rares a week. For your level, LT is probably still a great spot to pick up loot. Some of the body drops sell for upwards of 2g. A couple hours of work should net you a good 20-40g. <div></div><p>Message Edited by Tuddar on <span class=date_text>10-11-2005</span> <span class=time_text>12:20 AM</span>

Glad you get that kind of success but everytime I log on to harvest there are about 20 people in the croc caves/orc highway areas, so I just log off since I don't node steal and not looking to fight over nodes.

I've been doing a ton of harvesting since the expansion came out.  Rares are a lot...errr less rare than before IMO.  Croc caves is a great place for rocks, but like OP's have said you have to deal with some competition in there.  I suggest 2 things.  Try harvesting in PoF.  There are a lot less peeps in there and I have found a nice little route around one of the mountains that I can hit and do rather well.  Also, if you are in SS keep monitoriing the amount of peeps in the zone.  As soon as you see it capped @ 100, get your butt into the 2nd instance.

<P>I have an idea for SOE....seeing as how they have incorporated gambling into their game, perhaps they could add the worlds oldest profession to the game!!</P> <P>I can see it now..../ooc 53 male Barbarian Zerker, extremely goood shape seeks petite 18 wood elf or darkie with blonde hair.  pst if you would like to meet up in the croc caves for some fun <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P>
