<DIV>I do know that INT give a bonus to mages for damage. So far I thought INT was not useful for fighters (I am not saying we have to be stupid! hehe). Someone told me INT matter for damage for all classes as it influences magical attacks/spells. I know SK and paladin have some spells doing damage, but us berserkers... I don't see what is your ''magical attacks''? Well... anyone can put some light on this? Do INT influence spells damage for all classes and if yes, which spells/attacks it influences for berserkers? Thank you.</DIV>

My INT is 36 (level 51 at present). INT is the very last stat you should ever consider increasing at all. It is next to useless. WIS on the other hand will help you against hostile spells.

The armor has very nice mitigation but some stats are not useful, as it gives INT. Any reason why crafted armor always have strange bonus we do not need?

Plate armor is also worn by clerics.. perhaps int does something for them... <div></div>

<DIV>Int increases the size of your power pool. If you have +int items, and equip them, for a net increase in toon's "INT" rating, you'll find you have a bit more power available.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>After than changes, INT vs WIS was SUPPOSED to determine whether or not any purely magical casts (cold, fire, mental, holy, disease) landed, and for how much...I dunno if that's workign or not, as far as Berserkers are concerned, as the only non-melee CA I have is cold retribution, and it procs for a tiny bit of additional damage X% of the time, period. Int vs Wis does NOT count for "melee" based damage CAs.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Increased WIS, on the other hand DOES help us resist, or mitigate the amount of damage WE take from "magic" attacks.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>In the end, what this means is if you stack up on +INT items, you've got more power available to you for casting CAs, but, unless you stack STR first, your melee damage isn't as high, anyhow. I dunno if it's possible to increase INT enough to make this a signifigant factor, but offhand, I would suspect that all it does is make it take longer to fight a mob while you wait for your CAs to recycle, if you trade off STR for +INT.</DIV>

<div></div>I may be confused but i thought int increases power pool for int casters only, wis increases power pool for wis casters only, and str increases tank power pool.  The <a href="http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=4&message.id=6794" target=_blank>locked thread</a> at the top is what i base my assumptions on. <div></div><p>Message Edited by Rhayven on <span class=date_text>10-05-2005</span> <span class=time_text>09:43 AM</span>

<DIV>U have me a bit confused.  From how i understand it, STA gives fighter class more power pool.  INT is for casters power pool, and Wis is for the spell resistance in all classes (and how powerful the casters spells are), I beleve its 3 points in each resistance for 1 point in Wis.  so i dont think INT matters at all for us Zerkers.  Its all just so confuseing LoL.</DIV>

<DIV>From what I understand INT does the following:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <OL> <LI>Increases mage power pools.</LI> <LI>Increases the damage of spells.</LI></OL> <P>It does really nothing for fighter types.  One reason I don't have an imbued ring of INT.  <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P>

<DIV>STA does not give anyone more power pool...STA gives more health points, regardless of your class, that is all</DIV> <DIV>i get more health points when i get more sta...my power pool does not change</DIV> <DIV>my power pool goes up when i have more STR and so does my melee damage (i am a berserker but i assume this is the same for all fighters)</DIV> <DIV>WIS gives everyone more resists, like 4 points of each resist for every 1 point of WIS that you have, no matter what class you are</DIV> <DIV>INT gives casters (healers and mages) more damage on their magic-based spells</DIV> <DIV>SK's and Pallies have a few magic-based spells so INT is at least somewhat beneficial to them</DIV> <DIV>berserkers on the other hand do not have any magic-based spells...therefore INT is entirely useless to us as far as I can tell</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>STA increases HP pool, not power pool.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>TBH, I dunno WHICH has most impact, but I DO know that when I increase INT, I have more power ("mana"), when I increase WIS, I gain nothing in either HP or Power, and when I increase STA, I increase total HP, but not Power..</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I haven't looked to see if I increase Power by buffing my +str buffs or equipping +STR items that have no +INT with them.</DIV>

Oh and INT increases the dmg our non-melee based procs do, etc.  I group alot with a Fury and her Fae Flames proc does more dmg the higher my INT is. </span><div></div>

Equipping an INT item might show an increase in power but that might be due to the +power increase on that item. Same thing applies to buffs. The only +INT buffs I know of also has a power increase with it or a +STR bonus with it (among other bonuses). </P> <P>Berserkers have a STR only buff. Put that on yourself and you will see an increase in Max power.</P> <P> </P>
