Starting to feel better (thanks Zerker forum!)

I have a new (ogre) bezerker I started just before the LU13/DOF changes.  He's 22nd now, so still young, but right after the update, I got into a funk - there was definitely a difference in how well I could fight at level 15.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Now, a few weeks into the update, and with some more experience, I find I am doing much better - took some time, had to figure out some strategies, examine my CA cyle, mob strength etc. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I can currently fight and defeat a single ^ ^ ^ green heroic mob - fighter, priest, scout or rogue, doesn't matter - mage I can do, but not if it has a pet. I can also manage two ^ ^ green heroics. I have been using full carbonite vanguard, carbonite mace and ash tower shield or my bezerker's axe (from class quest), I have mostly AppIV or Adept 1s, so my gear is decent, but nothing crazy. When I finish a fight, I'm usually at 90% health vs. fighter mobs, 60-80% vs. the others, and about 60% power. In other words, I can pretty much (with decent food and drink) keep up a constrant stream of them, given a nice spot to pull to to remove adds.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>From what I read on the boards, it is the 20s and 30s which are a bit rough for Beserkers, and in the 40s+ folks report that they are really beginning to come into their own. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If I am doing well enough now, I can't wait to see how things will run when I get a huge compliment of Zerker CAs, improved gear and a few more masters under my belt.  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I have never really cared for fighter classes in most MMOs - EQ1 really turned me off on them due to their relative helplessness and cruise-control fighting style in the early to mid levels (pre-AA). <DIV>I am in my mid 30's now and the last 6 lvls or so have been gained since the big melee patch. After reading all the doom and gloom I found my Berserker to actually be doing better then before. Now I am not basing this on the lvl of a mob I can kill but rather how quickly I can blast through mobs and earn nice experience. Combat seems a bit quicker now and I can almost chain kill whites and yellows. A yellow heroic might be out of the question solo but in my opinion they should be anyway. If I want to take on high level heroic encounters I should be at least teamed up with another person or two.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>
