<DIV>Ok, I know this is a completely noobish question, but I really haven't been playing EQ2 that long, and especially never a melee type character.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So, how do you dual wield weapons? I have a berzerker, level 25 now I think. I've mostly been tanking, so I went with a weapon/shield combo thinking that would be the best as a tank. On the other hand, sometimes I just want to open a can of whoopass on a mob. I've found several weapons that are labeled "dual wield" yet I seem unable to equip them in anything but the main hand. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>What gives?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Is there a skill I need to get, or do Berzerkers not get dual wield, or only at some later level?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Or am I just a complete git who can't properly drag weapons to their appropriate slots.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Vyk</DIV>

<DIV>Your problem is most likely that you're trying to equip a dual wield weapon in the offhand when you have a one-handed weapon equipped in the mainhand.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>One-handed weapons can not be used with dual wield weapons.  You must have two dual wield weapons to dual wield.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>najena.konk</DIV>

<P>Ha! That is exactly the problem. I interpreted "dual wield" on a weapon as meaning that it could be equipped in the secondary weapon slot. Which is true. But only if there is another "dual wield" weapon equipped in the main hand slot, not a one-handed weapon.</P> <P><sigh></P> <P>Its always good to clear up these misperceptions and misconceptions. Thanks for the help.</P> <P> </P> <P>Vyk</P>
