Heya, I was just wondering how other 50+ berserkers were handling heroic ^^^ and what con you could handle. Just thought I'd post what I have found so far when it comes to soloing....at 51 I am able to handle 45 ^^^ and possibly a 46 ^^^ if I am lucky. How do I compare to the rest of you?

Sorry, I have a very difficult time believing that you can solo anything with three up arrows. At 50 I cant handle any double ups. Please post your gear, stats, and any proof that you have actually been able to beat a 45 triple-up. The only class that Ive seen solo a triple up mob is a wizard.

Dont mean to be rude with this point, Im just amazed if it is actually true.

Last in night in LS at level 51 I was soloing the super greenie 3up arrows (mostly because I was doing writs and they kept blocking my path and I got ticked off).

Now some caveats; I'm not super geared but I'm not light weight (5 fabled), I jacked all my buffs (some potions too) and used Rampage and at the end of every fight it was still a very near thing (a bad string of luck and you die).

So yeah you can do it...but would you want to?

As far as nerf, saw a wizzie in SS (52) soling 3up arrow blue SGs last night...Bers are hardly on the cutting edge for 3up soloin

Well at L51 with 15 adept 3 spells and well equiped I can, um cancel my account, and thats just what I did. It was simply a matter of in game reality. The disparity between the classes is far greater now then it was before the change and tanks are relegated to the bottom of the heap. While many caster classes are soloing even con or blue con triple arrow ups and getting great loot. Solo white mobs in DoF drop, well nothing. They get it all. dps, loot and fast leveling. tanks, well we can barely feed ourselves off the loot we can obtain under the new combat system. Plus why at L51 am I still relegated to L40 armor. They changed the armor so that it gets worse over time and not better. So with every level your armor becomes less effective. The new combat formula is based on the cap of your main stat. when you are L40 your cap is 400. When you are level 41 your cap is 410. The gap between what your main stat is and the cap determines your effectiveness in combat. So under this new formula you have to increase your main stat by 10 everytime you level in order to maintain the amount of damage you did at the level before. The armor available in the game does not support this, so as you level you are not getting better, but getting worse and doing less damage. You are also taking more damage as your armor gets worse as you level and not better.

When you add all this together. There is only one conclusion, and that is leveling works against you and not for you inspite of what SoE has promised. The game is backwards now.

Last I heard, the 'stat cap' was 7 times your current level. So at 50, it's 350... not 500. How much does +7 STR add anyway? I agree they've got some messed up armor stats with the T6 stuff, but that's being looked at. Any stats are relative to an even con mob anyway. So when you level, your overall effectiveness does essentially go up. Because even though YOU might not be able to add 7 STR (or whatever you want) per level, your abilities are still going up... slashing, crushing, piercing, defense, etc. Ah, whatever. You already cancelled. See ya.

Stats are as follows: Hit Points: 4162 Power: 2186 Mitigation: 2391 (Offensive Stance) 2640ish (Defensive Stance) Avoidance: 30.3% (Offensive) 40%ish (Defensive) Strength: 252 Stamina: 157 Agility: 160

My equipment isn't that great to be honest, aside from my weapons. Some of my abilities are Adept III (Vanquish, Wallop, Mutilate, and the stances) and I do have a master of Blood Boil. Equipment wise I am using a combination of cobalt (5 pieces) with two pieces of ebon (Helm and Gussets), while soloing I use an Iridescent Scourge of Silence and an Interdimensional Guard. I find it is more tactics than gear though, as long as you can time your stuns in sequence you should have no problems handing the mobs that I have stated.

When it comes to tactics, cast Weapon Guard before the battle. Once engaged, hit vanquish, run behind the mob and use Frenzy (I hope you have Master II) followed by mutilate and wallop. Once the 6.0s stun on Vanquish is up, use raging press for the additional 4s stun and continue using your generic weapon abilities/melee attacks, and then proceed to stunning roar and berserker barrage. The mitigation/avoidance of an enemy is far lower from the rear or side than it is from the front, so as long as you can keep it stunned for a good part of that battle and attack it from the rear, you'll put out more damage and will not encounter nearly as many misses. Once your stuns are used (since they have such huge reuse timers for a single battle) and the enemy turns around, continue using your faster reuse abilities and heroic opportunities until the mob is dead. Keep in mind, for your cycle of stuns, the enemy has its back turned to you

Is it doable? Yes. Is it worth it experience wise? No.

Oh, and if you're feeling experimental, group with a fellow berserker of your level and attempt some heroics. If you work out the right strategy for a cycle of stuns etc., you'd be surprised at what you can handle

Cheers.

Message Edited by goawaynow on 09-26-2005 03:55 PM

Not off of heroic mobs either....if you venture into zones such as The Clefts of Rujark, you will find that there are several named solo mobs in certain locations, such as the Crimson Cackler that spawns by the Boneyard (which is the mob that I have been fighting), and guess what? It drops masters, adepts, and ancient teachings, all of which can fetch a reasonable amount on the broker. If you feel inclined to ask for proof, I wont give it to you since it is not worth my time. Go see for yourself.

Depends always on your gear and knowledge. I know myself and the 2 Zerkers in guild can do blues and greens with little difficultes.
