Level 38 berserker here, and I'm trying to make a shopping list of gear I can start looking for once I hit 40 to maximize the big three stats as much as possible. If anyone has the time, could you list your primary stats ( in your order of importance) and their numbers so I can run to eq2players and check out your gear and what I may want to get? Thanks in advance.

Tuckabary

38 Berserker -- Kithicor

Message Edited by Macord on 09-16-2005 04:31 AM

Id be looking for STR / STA gear, forget AGI, it hardly does anything for Avoidance now.

I agree with Taem, AGI really has little effect, I would still get it over 100 if you could, just to be on the safe side, but really focus on the STR/STM after that.

And personally while I am happy with our overall damage, it pales in comparison to most casters now, so I am going with a majority of STM, even though the returns are just as small as with other skills now, it is the one area that, as a berserker, none of my other groupmates are built for. But that's just me.

Jinos

L'DL

STR has a much more noticeable effect on DMG then AGI does on Avoidance.

I agree Aonein : AGI means little to nothing now.

Since they have brutally removed our HPs spells/buffs (I've lost 30% hps , from 5200 to 3600 !!) I'm definitively goint to STR/STA.

This means no more AGI dolls, AGI ring and AGI potions ! Welcome STA gears/items/potions.

P.S. nobody noticed they have nerfed potions as well and said nothing to players ?

I went for STR and STA as well. However I was wondering about WIS. We do not really need INT, AGI don't give much now sadly. But what about WIS, anyone know what is the ratio 1 point of WIS give how much of resistances?

I did alot of respec and testing this week and here is what I got from it.

Well let me mention why I did the testing. I was curious with my 35 assassin concerning buffin up avoidance. I managed to use equipment + defensive stances to get his avoidance to 66%. Of course this is with little to no mitigation. I then compaired this through parsing with full chain and defensive stance. The avoidance won by far. Ok this is tested on white and yellow con mobs in Hideout. FYI. I do not have my parsing information so you'll have to take my word for it.

I then parsed my fights in harclave. With the 66% avoidance I was able to take on 2-3 groups of mobs on regular settings. This blew me away because assassins are not tanks and if my zerker pulled 2 groups my [Removed for Content] was running. (FYI these test were AFTER the avoidance patch to make it scale per mob lvl)

Ok so what if I went pure avoidance with my zerk? I proceeded to buy the best treasured cloth armor on the market and worked out the best avoidance possible with and without a tower shield. The best I could come up with was just over 53%. I then proceeded to run Hideout and then Harclave in the same fashion and I got the opposite results. First of all, in defensive stance I could not land enough combat arts vs the yellow con mobs. It was just not doable and I ended up losing out. For white cons, the fights just drug on to the extent that it just didn't beat out full plate and offensive stance w/ duals.

Ok so then I test this new avoidance with duals and offensive. The avoidance just wasn't high enough. Bleh. Basically my assassin waaay out tanks my zerk lol.

Then I tested with no stances. Same results. My damage overshadows everything in offensive stance.

Now as for STR vs STA. Personally I prefer STA because my parsed damage in STR gear/traits was just not substantial enough to overshadow the fact that I MT alot and want as much HP as possible. 46 Ratonga Zerker with 3900 hp is kinda fun anyway heh.
